The Perk - Friday Afternoon
Jack has put his phone on buzz and tucked it into his pants because it's scaring him. He's glad he made face-to-face plans to see Rose today.

Convo with Rose
Obviously, it has nothing to do with the fact that the last time he was at the Perk, he got his memory wiped by a time agent (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomtownies/452458.html?thread=18247786#t18247786).
He hopes that Rose remembers anything that his older self told her about the Time Agency, because he's pretty sure he's going to need information.

She opened the door and spotted him at one of the tables. "Hi. Got your message."

She folded her arms up and buried her head into them with a thunk, possibly muffling her response. "One. And I have no idea where it went. This is so very, very bad."

He perks up and leans over. "Ooooo. So who did you intend to call, and what were you offering? Because apparently there's a phone call about whipped cream out there, and I'm curious to find out who got it."
no subject
Sam laughed. "I meant to call Jack, and I'm not telling you what I offered." She leaned forward, "there's a phone call about whipped cream? Any idea who sent it?"
no subject
"The whipped cream one was from Paige Matthews. You know, one of the attic girls? I got the one about the handcuffs, but the one about the whipped cream went even farther astray. All I can guess is that she and Sawyer must be VERY athletic."

Once she recovered, she said, "Okay, that thing about Paige? Not a complete surprise, from what I've heard. But as long as they're happy, who are we to judge, right?" She hiccuped.

A hot chocolate was just the treat she needed after a walk in the cool air. After paying for it, she turned and looked for a place to sit.

"Jack." She was not cold. She was downright frosty. "I got your message."

Laughing she sat down at his table. "Don't worry, the message I got that implied I was having an affair with a professor, pretty much let me know there was a problem with voicemail. But please tell me your folks don't live around here. Because I'm not sure I could face them without blushing."
