The Emporium is open -- Sunday
His 24-hour stomach bug having finally subsided, Michael -- still pale -- opened the store and sat behind the counter. Ben had hovered over him yesterday, and he was concerned about his husband catching whatever he had.

The horse continued on its way around the building to find a shady place to stand as Pippi entered the shop.
"Hi there! Do you have stuff for making pizza?"

that's lower-case death-warmed-over, not, for instance, DEATH sunbathing, Michael pointed to aisle 3. "We've got prepackaged crust mix, cans or jars of sauce on aisle 3, and then cheese and those types of toppings will be in the refrigerated case against the left-hand wall. If you're looking to really make it from scratch, flour and those ingredients will be on aisle 2, and there's fresh tomatoes in the vegetable section on the far left -- technically aisle 1, although it doesn't have a sign yet." Considering the recent re-arranging and himself not being in tip-top shape, Michael was surprised he could even remember all that.no subject
She skuttles about the store grabbing stuff she needs for the dough mix and to make sauce from scratch, as well as toppings, some round baking sheets and a few other cooking sundries. While in the produce section, she also grabs a large orange.
She comes back up to the front with her haul. "Do you have pickled pig's feet?" she asks, "... Or possibly chocolate cover doxies? Not that I want to eat them together... Though I guess that could be interesting."

Pippi spent some time in there, and returned only with a bag of caramel candies.
"I'm afraid you don't have them chocolate covered or otherwise. Don't worry, I'll get them eventually."
She smiled and placed a large gold coin on the counter.
"Will this be enough?"

Michael picked up the coin and examined it. If it was anything like the coins that invisible guy had given him, it would cover the bill and then some. "I'm sure it will be enough, but as I don't know it's exact value, I can't make change for it. Once I find out its value, I can subtract off what you've bought and have the rest available to you as store credit next time you're in, if that's okay with you."

She waved as she left. Once outside she gave a tremendous whistle that rattled the windows. The horse came back round the building. She fixed the bags of her purchases around the horses neck and rode off quickly back in the direction of the school. (Gotta get this milk into the mini fridge!)

"Do you know where I can find wire cutters? I think I lost mine in the move."

He was nearly to the register when he made an irritated noise and turned back to grab a bottle of Worcestershire sauce and a shaker that dispensed both salt and pepper depending on how you held it.
"Right. That should take care of Sunday dinner for half my floor."

He handed the proprietor two twenties and a ten and began bagging his items before the man could finish with his change. "I like to keep busy. I thought it would be a good way to get to know some of the people I live with.
"My name is Walter. I guess you'll see a lot of me."

Walter stuffed his change in his pocket and nodded at the comment about the cafeteria food. "I've avoided it so far. I've heard some strange things. Maybe I'll try it for dinner tomorrow night. Just to kick off the school year with a bang."
Grabbing the bags and heading for the door, Walter turned and hefted one in a sort of wave. Following Pippi's lead, he smiled and said, "I hope you feel better soon," before pushing the door open and heading back to the school.
