The Park- mid evening

Paige sat by the lake, her bag beside her, it only contained what she absolutely needed, she'd not wanted to hang the attic around much and had spent the whole day keeping to herself at school.

She ripped up a muffin and tossed pieces into the lake for the ducks, she'd intended to eat herself but just didn't much feel like it, she'd eat later...probably.

Fred walked up stirring her coffee. "Hey Paige." Her smile faded when she say Paige's face. "Hey, hey are you ok?"

She shook her head, "not really," she admits tears glistening with tears, she wasn't going to cry though, she just couldn't or she might not stop.

Fred frowned slightly "What happened?" Fred did not listen to the radio broadcasts very often and today was one of the days that she didn't.

She sighs, "James, skinny dipping, he's in deep shit and right now I don't even know how I feel about it. He cheating on me, we've been so happy and he kissed my best friend."

She looks out onto the lake, "I can't go back to my own home cos I don't wanna see him."

"He cheated on you?" Fred looked shocked, she had seen Paige and Sawyer together, they had looked so happy. "Well...did you ask him about it?" Fred said as she nervously sipped her coffe.

She shakes her head again, "there's no point there's nothing he can say, he gets out of bed with me then goes to try his luck with someone else. He can't make it better, he just can't."

Fred frowned staring down at her hands and taking another sip of coffee. "Well did you talk to the girl, your best friend? What did she have to say for herself?" Fred's voice tinging on angry. "That is total bullshit pardon my language, but that is total bullshit he did that. Did the girl know he did that?"

"She was the one that told me about it, she didn't do anything, I mean she stopped him, it wasn't her it was him all him, that's what hurts so much. I thought I'd found my soul and he goes and does this," she runs her hands through her hair and swallows hard, "I don't even want to think about it." she says tossing another bit of muffin to the ducks.

"well" Fred said sipping her coffee again "At least she had some sense to stop him." Fred looked disgusted "Stupid jackass" She said huffing. Fred spied her bag "You can come stay up in my room. I'm all alone up there since Evelyn, since Evelyn left. I doubt he'll bother you up there. I have ice cream." She said to further entice Paige into coming into her room.

She thought for a moment, "I booked a room in the hotel, but I guess I could come for a while, if there's icecream," she said.

"Mind if we erm don't walk? I don't wanna bump into him."

Fred looked a little confused..."Um..well" She glanced down at her shoes. "I guess we could run..."

Paige smiled ever so slightly, but only for a second.

"No sorry, I meant...I'm a witch it's one of my powers I can transport us both straight to you room from here."

Fred's eyebrows went up "Um, ok." She backed up a little "Its not like on Star Trek when you like transport into like a shimmering light and then may or may not wind up with all your body in tact on the other side is it?"

"Well there's a shimmering light," she admits "but erm don't worry you're body'll be intact when we get to your room."

Fred stepped up to Paige, obviously not comfortable but still...it was worth trying.

Paige reached out and took Fred's hand, she wasn;t sure she'd be able to orb, she hadn't been able to last time she'd this upset.

Still she might as well try.

She closed her eyes and concentrated on the dorms as they disappeared surrounded by blue orbs.
