Victor walked in, entranced by the sign. He looked around for some sort of instruction.

"Hi honey!" Deb waves from where she sits at a register near the door. "Help yourself to the pizza" she gestures to the bar "and a salad and drink. It's $6 for all you can eat tonight."

He pulled out his wallet and handed the cheerful woman six dollars. "Um, do you have something else to drink besides soda? I'm not supposed to have any right now."

"Sure. Milk, lemonade, if you aren't off the sugar, tea, if you aren't off the caffiene. You're new in town, aren't you? I'm Deb. How do you like our cute little town?"

"I'll take some iced tea, if you have it. I'm Victor, a student over at the high school. I think your town is great. A little strange sometimes, but great."

"Tea is in the urn, honey. Welcome to Fandom, Victor. You know, you're the first green kid I've seen. There've been a couple of blue ones and our mayor is Red, and I mean he's really red, too. It is a nice little town. My son, Michael, and his husband run the Emporium."

"I think I've met Michael before," Victor remembered. "He's a real nice guy, and he's really lucky to have a mom like you. I wish my parents were as supportive..."

Walter wasn't in the mood to cook, nor did he want to try to eat at school. Once a day was really quite sufficient. He wandered in and looked around.

"Cherry pizza?"

Victor was stunned by Walter's presence. He almost felt like running away, but decided no to. This would happen sometime, so let's get it over with. Let's prove that we can still be friends.

"Hey, Walter," he said, giving a wave and a grin. "It's a great deal here, huh?"

[ooc: I was debating on wether or not to track you down, but I guess you got to me first. Anyhoo, I need to go eat in RL (busy, busy!), but I'll be back soonish. Hopefully our server will be as well. :)]

"Hi Victor," Walter gave his friend a wave and a smile. "I don't know if she knows what she's let herself in for. If Pippi and I eat here on the same night, we might just put her out of business."

He was terribly uncomfortable and trying to cover it. He was going for his usual tactic of hiding behind a cigarette when he remembered Victor's comment about his "smoking like a chimney." He pulled his pocketwatch out instead and glanced at it.

"Have you eaten here before?"

"No, I haven't. I hope it's good. Hey, why don't we go grab a booth (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomtownies/526628.html?thread=20740388#t20740388) and sit down?"

"Hi hon. It's really good, more like a cookie than what you're thinking. Pizza crust, butter and sugar and cherries. Come on in and have some."

"I'll give everything a try." Walter grins broadly and heads toward the food. "But I'll understand if you want to charge me extra after you see how much I eat."

"Honey, I have a son and raised a couple of other people's around the edges. Believe me, I know how teen boys eat."

"Hey Deb." Alanna is neither bouncing, nor with Faithful today. "Can I get two slices of the apple pizza plus access to the buffet?"

((Mun's true love...apple pizza. *nod*))

"Alanna, honey, help yourself. The dessert pizzas are out."

Victor lead Walter to a booth in the corner, where they could have some privacy. There was a window looking out to the town, and in the distance the ocean was lapping at the beach.

"So...how was your day?" he began.

"It was good." Except for the lingering aftereffects of the unsettling dream he'd had.

"I told you that I was going to go beat someone up in Alanna's self defense class, but let me tell you, don't underestimate Nadia." He winced exageratedly, "And watch any body parts you value."

"I will," Victor said, trying to make sure his grin wasn't nervous. "Gym was the usual. No running up the walls this time, but it was alright. How about our Creature Languages class, though? I never thought I'd be learning how to talk with a spider!"

"No, that's not something I thought I'd ever learn how to do, either. Although we didn't really learn how to talk to her. It was still fun to hear what she had to say.

"I found out there's a brothel in town. That was a little weird. I thought I'd tell Pip, though. He might care."

"Is it a gay brothel or a...wait, nevermind. if you wanna show it to Pip, it probably has a lot of boobs."

He took a sip of his iced tea, then looked at the buffet. "You wanna go get some ~~if you haven't already~~?"

[ooc: forgot to say thanks. also, i have a few hours before bed, so we can make this as long or short as you want. oh, and before i forget: what was wrong with your computer?]

"Yeah, he does have a little bit of an obsession, doesn't he?" Walter laughed and stood up. "I was on my way when you hijacked me."

He then proceeded to fill his plate with the one of everything he'd told Deb he was going to get, including a glass of root beer.

Victor followed, and grabbed whatever looked good, plus a bowl of broccoli. Broccoli was one of his ~~mun's~~ favorites, and when he sat down he happily popped a stalk in his mouth. "Have you ever heard of this place called Fast Eddie's?"

"Yeah! I went bowling there the other day. It was my first time. Why? Do you bowl?" Walter tucked in to his food with great enthusiasm, eating with the best manners possible for someone making food disappear with almost uncanny speed.

Victor's eyes bugged as he watched Walter eat. It reminded him of a movie he had watched about cone-headed aliens. "I don't bowl a lot, really." he finally said, trying to be polite. "I just needed to get out of the dorms for a while, and it seemed like a good idea. I only scored a 59, though."

"I did the same thing. I've only bowled once, and it was there. I think it might have been more fun with someone to bowl with."

He laughed when he realized how Victor was watching him eat and slowed himself down. "It's the metabolism. I have to eat like crazy. If you listen to my heart sometime, it runs a lot faster than normal, too."

Victor had to bite his tongue to stop himself from asking if he could hear it. "Ow!" he said, and dropped his pizza on his plate.

Walter frowned slightly and leaned forward. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just bit my tongue," he said, and took a bug sip of iced tea to dull the pain. "Anyway,-ow- maybe we could go bowling sometime, then? See who sucks more."

"That sounds like fun." Walter remembered his root beer and took a sip, trying not to laugh at the drink he'd chosen. "I want to get a pair of rollerskates like the girl in the park. Have you ever used rollerskates?"

"Psht, rollerskates are for kids! I use rollerblades!" he said triumphantly.

[ooc: yeah, when I saw that you picked root beer I was all like "you ass..." :p]

"What are rollerblades?" Walter leaned forward. "I assume you don't mean ice skates, since the blades don't really roll."

Victor leaned in as well. "They're like ice skates, but with wheels intead of blades. There's usually four small wheels in a row on each skate. Have you ever ice skated before?"

Walter nodded, "It's been a long time, but yeah. If they're faster than regular rollerskates, I'm interested. Fast is good. Very fast is even better."

"They can be faster..." he trailed off, getting a mischevious look in his eyes. "Hey, if you don't have any plans tonight, how 'bout we go get some and go skating?"

"Brilliant! I was going to get Togusa to order some for me, but if you know where to get them here on the island, let's do it."

"I know just the place (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomtownies/527583.html)," he replied with a grin.

[ooc: Sorry that took so long. I had to ask my buddy the rules for quick NPC shops, then actually make the dern thing. :)]

[ooc: Oh, your sound card? Or your motherboard? Either way, since you have a laptop it's better to just send it in. Those things suck to repair even when you do know what you're doing...*Hugs you consolingly*]
