The Park - Late afternoon, early evening by the duck pond
Cash had been such a good boy at the Clinic all day that Wilson decided the puppy deserved some good out door time before he headed back to the Loft for the evening. Stopping by the Perk to get himself a fru fru coffee and a couple of scones, Wilson walked on into the park, letting Cash off his leash as they got close to the duck pond.
It dawned him that having both scones and puppy was probably going to be confusing for the ducks whom Cash looked upon as a wonderful oppertunity to test his infant 'herding' instincts on. The ducks, looked upon Cash with well fed indignity and gave the puppy a couple good pops with their bills as they crowded around the young doctor in search of scones.
Wilson chuckled softly and doled out crumbs as he watched Cash dash off to try to chase a few ducks who appeared willing to play with the puppy.

"Hello, Tex ... um ... you're not going to try to kill me are you?"

A pushy duck pecked his ankle to remind him to get to the business of tossing scones and so he crumbled some more down for them to keep them busy.
"I put Yazoo back together last week." He said, speaking just as directly as she had. "He said it was you."
The last a genuine invitation to hear her side of things.

"In a way, Yazoo was right."

"He was?"

Wilson eyed the puppy watching as Cash pulled up short at this strange looking humanoid and sat back on his haunches in a curious manner.
"So...umm...you were, possessed?" Some nights, it really did wake him in a cold sweat that he said things like this with such ease.

"I...could inquire further but I think it would break my mind so instead...I've started a clinic here in Town. It's a few doors down from The Rare Book Shop."

The message was kinda clear and with a soft grumble, she leaned down and patted him on the head. Of course, seeing how she had her armour on, that could easily be taken the wrong way.

Wilson watched with a surprisingly relaxed posture, despite what he'd been told about the origin of Yazoo's wounds.
"Poke? Oh! Noooh, no not like that at all. I was just, letting you know in case you ever found yourself in need of medical attention. I'm living up overtop of the Clinic as well so you don't have to go up to the school."

"Good to know. That ball thing didn't like me much," she replied, then more wistful. "Is this were you took care of Yazoo?"
no subject
"Every so often I do earn my keep." Wilson said warmly with a gentle smile. "Ben Bruckner and his husband Michael called me when they found Yazoo and yes, we took him to the Clinic here in town, which is sort of it's purpose." Wilson said with a hint of pride for the little FTEC.

"I can pay his bill," she offered and considering how much she liked her money maybe this said more than anything else. "You break it, you pay it."

Chuckling softly, Wilson leaned his arm against the back of the bench and watched.
"I'm afraid someone else picked up their tab."

Tex paused and stared at the shamelessly begging pup. She shook her head and reached out to scratch his stomach lightly.
"Or was it one of the do gooders in this town who likes to throw with money?"
no subject
"It was a friend of theirs." He answered simply, watching and listening to Cash as the puppy grunted with pleasure in response to the tummy scritches.

"Why couldn't people throw money at me when I need it? Tex...if you come to me for treatment I'm going to honor your privacy. If you want to know, you need to talk to Yazoo."
He didn't say it unkindly but he was firm in his decision. He didn't spread people's business.

"I'm not having this conversation...again." He sounded more stressed than anything. "Talk to Yazoo, Tex."
Giving a quick whistle, Wilson called Cash to him and shoved his hands in his pockets, starting to slowly headed away from the bench.
