The Emporium is open -- Sunday
Michael flipped the sign from "closed" to "open" and began adjusting the Valentine's Day displays. Considering this town, he'd made sure there were enough cards that were appropriate for people to give to someone of the same gender. It was a day Michael needed to give more thought to on a personal level as well. The holiday was when he and Ben marked their anniversary, and they were hitting the ten-year mark. What to get his husband was a problem he'd have to solve.

He begins to load a basket with a wide array of baking essentials before stopping in front of the Valentine's display looking a bit befuddled.

Binky is standing nearby, wearing what appears to be a black tie.*

He immediately approached DEATH and Binky, nodding a bit of a hello toward each.
"Good day to ye both, DEATH, Binky. Ready to finish that wardrobe o yours?"

And what was up with all of those hearts? That pink and red?
He would be certain to ask later.

"I have no idea, frein DEATH." He walked up to one of the displays and examined it closely. It seemed very... shiny.
Nono, it was flashy.
"I dunnae suppose anybody else here would know?"

*DEATH glances about, trying to see if there is anyone else in the vicinity.*

In the meantime, he decided to keep up the conversation.
"There is a certain sort of charm to it, isn't there? If nothin' else, the colours go nicely with one another."

He looks up at Death and Macbeth and gives them a wave before returning to looking through the cards. "To my sweetie, on this sweetest day..." No, that didn't seem at all right.

He unloaded all of the ingredients needed to make enough pies to feed the school it seemed, and pulled out his wallet.
"You look as though your illness has passed, I'm happy to see."

because mun is too tired to come up with a number, and made sure all the items were securely bagged. "Are you going to be able to make it back to school with all this by yourself?"no subject
After paying Michael, he looked at the piles of bags and shook his head. "No. I think I'm going to have to make two trips. I'll hurry. It won't take me long." He said the last with a slight smirk, but was already planning just how much more he was going to have to eat to cover the calorie cost.
[ooc: he'll be back a whole lot more quickly than Michael's going to expect, just a bit winded.]

No matter how many times he told himself nothing should surprise him here in Fandom, things always managed to.
