Ye Olde Rare Bookes of Aziraphale's, Tuesday Morning
Kiki flies rather soggily down to the town, and, landing outside Aziraphale's, drenches her shoes in a puddle. She gives a sigh of annoyance, and shakes them off as Jiji scoots under the dripping eaves and huddles there, looking thoroughly miserable. Wiping the water from her face, Kiki pulls out the skeleton key from the string around her neck and enters the shop, shaking off her broom out the door before bringing it in. Jiji scoots in beside her, and makes a bee-line for the fireplace where he spends the better part of the next hour drying and rearranging his sodden fur.
Kiki shucks off her wet shoes - there is nothing more uncomfortable than cold soggy shoes - hangs up her dripping coat and warms her hands and toes by the fire before getting to work.

Books?
Re: Books?
Foolishly, she doesn't remember Kiki works here, or keep an eye out for flying avocados.
Re: Books?
"Hi, Lilly!" she calls. "Can I help you find anything?"
Re: Books?
"I'm looking for books on ghosts. I figured this place might have something. Not that I expect to learn how to walk through walls or anything. I mean, that would rule, but yeah, I'm looking to maximize my afterlife experience."
Re: Books?
"I'm not sure if these will help," Kiki says, "If these aren't what you're looking for, I can try in the cabinet," Kiki nods towards a locked cabinet behind the counter, "But those are not for sale, and can't leave the shop."

"Have a nice day, Lilly," Kiki smiles, waving good-bye.

"Good day, my dear. Can I help you find something, or are you just browsing?"

He steps into the lounge long enough to pour a cup of tea, then returns and hands it to Blair. "There are scones and biscuits in the lounge as well if you like something. And do feel free to look about a bit while I see if I'm right about that book."
Re: Books?
Blair accepts the tea and sighs with pleasure. "Thank you so much, man. Tea is good anytime, but on a day like this..." Blair shivered slightly. "Today is a day that calls for tea."
Re: Books?
Flipping through the large inventory journal on the counter, he answers Blair's question absently. "It really isn't from anywhere, my dear. It, er...predates most languages. And I'm not offended."

Lounge!
Re: Lounge!
It was hard for Wilson to go from 120 to 0 in the blink of an eye and being at the shop, even if it was just a case of his being nested up in blankets on the couch, was enough of a change of scenary to ease some of his restlessness. He'd been working on a crossword puzzle but had fallen asleep at some point and tucked up under his blankets, he might look a rather good landing pad for a certain damp feline or a frisky young ferret.
Re: Lounge!
"Honestly, Jiji," she sighs as she lays another blanket over Dr. Wilson. "He's a doctor. He should know better! Now you be sure to leave him alone and let him sleep, you two," she admonishes, looking over at the hearth where Jiji is stretched languidly, and Pogo is drooped across his shoulders like some living ferret stole.
Jiji gives Pogo a Look. Oh yes, this was too good an opportunity to give up. Especially because Kiki's warning fairly screamed "invitation."
Pogo twitches.
Patience, grasshopper, Jiji murmured beneath his purring. Wait for it... wait for it...
Kiki, safely away from the lounge and busy in the shop, is paying them no attention.
Okay, NOW go!
And with a fearful noise of chittering and yowling, Jiji and Pogo vault off the floor and pounce on the unsuspecting doctor-shaped blanket-covered lump on the couch.
Re: Lounge!
Flailing or at least trying to flail, he struggled under the blankets and eventually had to settle with a puffy eyed glare at the pair, sniffling hoarsely.
"Oh...'bear 'its no ookies ferb eider oub yub ferb a lung time." He admonished...then groaned at his own stuffed up voice.
Re: Lounge!
I think he said it's no cookies for either of us for a long time, Jiji translates. He doesn't move from where he sprawls lazily across Wilson's legs.
Nocookies? Nocookies? Pogo looks stricken.
Kiki, hearing the unearthly commotion, appears at this point and sees the picture. To her credit, she only giggles once before composing herself and starting in on Jiji.
"How could you? After I told you to be good! You're going to teach Pogo all sorts of bad habits. No cookies for you, you scoundrels! Oh, Dr. Wilson, I'm so very sorry; here, let me get these two out of your way..."
Pogo looks at Jiji, aggreived. No...cookies?
Jiji gives him a broad wink. For us? Two hours, tops. We'll be back in cookyville before dinnertime.
[Hee, I really need to make a Jiji/Pogo icon :) ]

Re: Lounge!
The young doctor had managed to get a hand free and he gently rubbed both Jiji and Pogo before trying to lay back down on the pillows.
"Ibt's alb'white KhiKhi." He started to speak...then just gave up and gave her a sympathetic look that basically said he didn't mind but he would love to go back to sleep for a bit.
In truth, were he not sick he would be positively grinning and outright encouraging the mischief Jiji and Pogo seemed to be finding together. It was great how Jiji had taken the little ferret under his wing and obvious that Pogo adored Jiji.
Re: Lounge!
Kiki throws Jiji an exasperated look, but the feline and the ferret have already settled down, sprawled over the fun new Wilson-pillow on the couch.
"You two behave yourselves," she says in a stage whisper. "And I mean it!"
Jiji flopped a lazy tail in response, drooping it over Pogo, already curled up asleep. We will, he purrs. Or maybe it's a chuckle. Or both.
