Chaucer's - Open for Business Tuesday

Inara unlocks the door and turns the sign around to indicate that Chaucer's is open. Then she settles down behind the counter with a cup of tea to wait for customers, reading through a book of calligraphy styles.

The shop door opened. A water balloon flew through. There was no one in sight.

Inara automatically flinched, then winced when the water splashed down the front of the counter and the floor.

She went out the back to find a mop, returning within a few moments.
