The Perk, Tuesday night

Quinn's out for a change of pace, E-mailing on her laptop and enjoying a nice chai latte. She's in a corner, her back to the door, completely unawares of anyone coming in. Feel free to bother her, though. Just please don't be weird.

The door of the Perk opened slowly and carefully, so the bell would not ring. A water balloon flew through the opening, straight at Quinn.

SPLASH! The balloon hits Quinn square on the back of the head.

Because NINJAS DO NOT MISS, PEOPLE, WTF.

Quinn shrieks and turns around, looking for the culprit. No one's there.

She's not leaving her rooom anymore. Maybe ever.

Peter walked into the Perk with his sociology reading. He needed to finish it, it was getting late, and this place had coffee. It was a match made in heaven.

He ordered a cappuccino and settled in to read.

The villainess behind the water balloon attacks might have been stealthily leaving when the boy who started all this entered the Perk. She must have her revenge.

Water balloon. Right at his head.

Peter, who of course had a spider-sense that alerted him to danger, sensed the balloon coming. He bent down as if he were picking something up from the ground, letting the balloon soar past him. Once it had safely exploded behind him, he looked around and saw nobody around.

Well, that wouldn't do. Another water balloon. This one was green.

Peter sensed this one coming, too. But, hey, it's just water, right?

So he took it like a man. A dripping wet man.

"I've only been in office for a day and somebody is already trying to assassinate me with a long-distance drowning," he said to himself. "I feel important."

Barbossa, dressed as a pirate and not a shrub, walked into the Perk for no particular reason.

He sat down with a cup of tea and a book on cars. He still didn't trust the "brake" system that the professor had told him about.

From where she was hiding behind a convenient blade of grass, Miho watched the pirate walk into the Perk. Something deep in her ninja genetic code cried out "I'M COOLER!" for satisfaction. But she'd left most of her sharp things at home!

She settled for what she had on hand. A water balloon came flying at Barbossa.

"Arrgh!" Barbossa cried, soaked.

He looked around but saw nothing.

Something deep in his blood cried for vengeance because pirates rule, yo.

He would have to be sneaky.

He would have to cheat.

But first, he would have to figure out who had gotten him wet.
