Parker checked her watch, bored, waiting for Rory. Shopping for food for the Common Room party was important, but not as important as getting a couple things straightened out.

Rory entered the coffee shop, not at all looking wary.

"Hi," she greeted Parker after ordering a mocha. "You can't kill me! There are witnesses!"

"I could so still kill you. I'd just have to put up with a jail term." Parker raised an eyebrow at Rory. "I'll settle for you *not* embarassing me in front of Jarod, though. You don't see me mentioning a certain just-a-friend, do you?"

"That reminds me - did I ever tell you my middle name? Because if I did, don't tell him what it is," Rory replied, trying to change the topic.

"No, you didn't." Parker appeared amused more than anything. "I know it begins with L, though. I could always find out, if I needed to. And why can't I tell Skywalker, if I do?"

"He's determined to find out. It's not even like, a bad middle name, but I refused to tell him and he's made it his pet project," Rory said, rolling her eyes. "That's why he was in the library today. Researching names. Dork."

"Why are you 'friends' again?" Parker asked, amused. "Let's go, I want to grab the food and get back before it's dark. The last thing I need is to be running into Darla out here."
