Spike's Pub - Open 01/19

"You're kidding right?" Kadaj looked at the list Yazoo made from the radio broadcast the night before. "Pajamas?"

"I thought it was a cool idea. At least until we make a decision about whether we try to turn this place into a sports bar, host gladatorial combat or whatever," Yazoo said defensively.

The look Yazoo got from his younger brother was one of disbelief.

"Loz would like the punching part. He might even consider letting them punch first." Yazoo was grasping at straws since it was fairly apparent Kadaj wasn't on board with the idea.

"Yazoo, we have to keep in mind that most of them will be underage. Like...way underage. We could get into a lot of trouble." With a shrug, he waved his hand over the list and headed to unlock the front door for business and turn the sign on.

Dumping the ice into the holder, Yazoo shrugged, too. "I know. I mean, we don't have to do them all but it's something to think about." He dug out the remote and turned the TV on, setting it to mute.

"We'll talk about it with Loz when we go home tonight." Kadaj gave Yazoo a warning look as he plugged the jukebox in and set the music. Icon of Coil pounded out of the speakers. "We will consider it."

Yazoo readied the lemons, limes and cherries. "That's all I'm asking."

Tex entered the pub. She had decided to stay out of armour for now and was in a very good mood despite of it.

"Hey," she replied as she said down and watched curiously to see what held Yazoo's attention. "Making a wishlist?" Normally she wouldn't ask, but really, she was in a very good mood.

Tex laughed, because it was hard not to as she got that particular image into her head. "They don't strike me as the pajama type," she smirked and took a sip from her glass.

"I don't know, it has potential." Tex considered it. "How about knock someone out with a beer bottle day?"

[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Tex tilted her head as she thought it over. "I'll take that challenge."

"Out sounds more fair," Tex replied. "The armour isn't everything. It's just a lot."

Seemingly out of nowhere, a water balloon flew toward Tex.

Togusa decided to try out this new pub. After all, he was supposed to look around and meet new people. He nodded at the man behind the counter. Rather odd looking men here. "Just a coke, please." Like he needed to get drunk after the care package he got from Batou.

[identity profile] section9-togusa.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, I'm new. Just learning my way around here." He took the coke and paid the man, leaving a tip on the counter. "Can you tell me what other places are good to check out around here?"

[identity profile] section9-togusa.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
Togusa smirked. "Most sleepy towns have something fun to do. What about here? I mean, our dorms are overrun by these muppet chickens...that's something I wouldn't call sleepy." He took a sip of his coke and looked around at the other patrons.

"What about you guys? How long have you been in business?"

[identity profile] section9-togusa.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
"That's all? Kareoke and bowling? Maybe you guys should expand." Togusa suggested. "Maybe bring in some games or something." He sat down at the bar. "So what did you do before you came here?"

[identity profile] section9-togusa.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
Togusa caught the man's facial expression. Narrowing his own, and trying to ignore the water ballons, he shrugged. "Maybe some things that will bring in more business. Ask the kids around here what they like." He leaned forward. "But seriously, why did you come here? What did you do before?" He was supposed to investigate everything, after all. It was part of his training for Section 9.

[identity profile] section9-togusa.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh. So you're stuck here." Togusa leaned back and shrugged. "Maybe if you expanded, you would see more kids come around here." He had a bad feeling about this guy and turned to look at the other patrons again.

"Where did you come from?"
