FTEC Hours - Friday January 20th 2006

He expected it to be quiet. Even with the excitment with Lilah yesterday, Wilson found that the clinic in town seemed to be even more a case of feast or famine than the one up at the school but due to feeling a little run down he decided quiet was a good thing.

Flipping the light from 'On Call' to 'Open' the younger doctor settled himself in behind his desk. Three days of laying around, basically sleeping for the most part had left him with a small mountain of paperwork and so, coffee at his right hand, pen in his left, he settled in to work.

Doctor is in, if you need to see him...or steal his coffee.

Red kept his shop closed. Business was slow at the moment, which wasn't a bad thing, as Red still had town business to attend to. One of which was to stop by and see the doctor in his new digs, find out if he was in need of anything.

He pushed in the door and padded up to the desk. "Good morning, doctor!"

"It seemes better than you're faring, doctor. How are you feeling? As bad as you sound?" Red's eyebrows furrowed in concern.

"Well, make sure you don't work too hard. Being sick is never very fun." Red said, sitting down. "I won't keep you, this really was just a social visit. See what you've done with your new clinic but it can wait until later."

"Excellent!" Red had no idea what those things were, machines that went ~ping!~ but they sounded impressive. "I'm glad the building was something you could use and work with." He looked around at the insides, truly impressed. "And you say it's already seen use? I suppose that's a good thing, although unfortunate it was needed, I'm glad you were able to help."

"I'm glad to hear that," Red said. "I'm pleased you were so willing to take on the extra work, doctor. That was very generous of you. And the town will truly benefit from your being at the helm here."

"Of course not," Red said, grinning. "I'm glad you're getting use out of the whole building." He gave Wilson 'a look', or as much of one as he could with only one eye. "And you won't let this take over your whole life, right? You have coverage so you can take time off?"

((ooc: *hates on LJ with every fiber of his being* sorry this waited so long. when I was on, I couldn't get comments to post at all. *flailing*))

Darla... doesn't come in through the front door, but she's somehow there. There's a reddened patch that looks ligha burn on the right side of her face, scrapes on the left side, and she's moving gingerly, favoring the shoulder on the left. She looks around for James.

Darla smiled a bit wryly at him. "This is an interesting town, huh? I wish I could say, 'You should see the other guy', but..." She shrugged then winced as the motion jarred her shoulder.

Darla sighed with relief and went where he guided her. She hated her injuries. They made her vulnerable, and weak. "I'm glad you understand." She smiled again. "This wasn't how I intended to drop in on you."

[identity profile] vampire-darla.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Darla winced. "I landed on it," she said -- probably unnecessarily to a doctor. "I fell."

It occured to her that her enhanced healing might confuse James, but she couldn't worry aout that now.

Darla shook her head. "I'm not allergic to much." Just sunlight. And holy water. And sharp pointy bits of wood shoved through her chest.

Darla closed her eyes and enjoyed the ministrations -- after the shot, mind you. It felt good to be touched with care and the desire to heal. She opened her eyes to smile at him again. "Thank you, James. It's a good thing I heal fast, because I don't like being weak." The painkillers began to kick in interestingly, even though she doesn't have a heart beating to circulate the drugs and she stretched in relief. "Oh, much nicer."

[identity profile] vampire-darla.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Darla made a face. She liked pain -- when she was inflicting it, or when it was part of the games she and Angelus had played. This sort of mundane human-like pain was annoying. "If we must," she said.

Darla nodded as she was able to raise her arm. It hurt, but not nearly as much as before. More importantly, she had her full range of motion. "Thanks, Doc. What do I owe you?"

[identity profile] vampire-darla.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
"A bargin." She fishes around in her purse and writes out a check. The name and address imprinted on it are Wolfram & Hart's local offices. "That was for the doctoring. Now, is there anything I can do for the doctor?"

[identity profile] vampire-darla.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"I will. I promise." She starts to get up and then sits back down. "I think I'm just going to sit here for a bit... is that all right?"

[identity profile] vampire-darla.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Darla did not take him up on his offer to drink, because he didn't know. She'd return to the hotel and find Crowley and get blood from him. "No, I'm just... going to sit still for a moment." She flashed another smile again. "I'll be fine."

[identity profile] vampire-darla.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Darla nodded. "Thank you, James." She waited until he had turned down the hall before jumping off the table. There was a box sitting half-open on a counter in the room, and under the careful sealing she could just smell a sickly-sweet odor. Chloroform. She extracted one bottle and tucked it into her purse.

Just in case. She had an idea for driving Angel complete batshit insane wild with fury, and it involved transporting a human. Much easier when they weren't wiggling, and anything she did to incapacitate them might be more permanent than she'd like.

Feeling much better, she headed for the sewer exit and returned to the hotel, looking for Crowley (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/547446.html?thread=21244534#t21244534).
