The Park, Friday Night

Taking a break from the crowd in Caritas, Bel headed outside for a smoke. He walked down the street toward the park, wanting to get away from the noise and the screeching some called singing.

As he stood under a tree, flicking ashes into the grass, he saw a figure coming toward him, someone with a dog on a leash. He grinned as he recognized Blair, Angel's "little brother." Well, this could be amusing.

[For [livejournal.com profile] lovechildblair, but if anyone wants to poke the demon afterwards, feel free.]

Blair bounced happily on his way home from work. It had been a slow night, which was good because Sean and him had lots of time to play. The two of them smelled heavily of butter and little flakes clung to clothes and fur.

"Ready to go home and eat real puppy food now? No more processed butter for you, man!"

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
Blair jumped a little when Bel appeared. "Huh? Oh, Belthazor, hi."

Sean growled at Bel and Blair pulled back on the leash. "Sean, cut it out! Um-Angel warned me about some girl, but you're the first person I've come across. And you're not a girl." Blair bounced and kneeled down to pet Sean soothingly.

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
Blair stopped petting Sean and looked up at Bel. "I'm not afraid of girls."

Sean growled again at Bel and Blair patted him, mumuring, "Good boy, that's a good boy."

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
Sean growled and jumped forward, snapping at Bel's fingers.

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
"Sean!" Blair pulled the puppy's leash back just a bit. "Violence isn't the answer, man." Blair looked up at Bel briefly. "No matter what."

Blair stood and addressed Bel. "Don't know what's up with that, man. Sean seems to like everyone. You didn't rub evil cats all over you or something, did you?"

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
Sean growled loudly and bared his teeth.

Blair stared down at him for a second and nodded slowly. "Sure, um, that must be it. Cats." He looked at Bel. "I'll let Angel know later that Sean seems to hate cat people now."

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Blair jumped at the fireball Bel had created in his hand. "Man, whoa. Man"

Sean just growled, yanking forward on his leash and darting around Blair's feet quickly.

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
Blair doubted the truth of that statment but he attempted to smile back.

"Yo-you didn't scare me. Just, you know, you should get that checked out at the clinic or something."

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
Blair took a quick step backwards, trying to corral Sean behind him. "T-that's great for you. But maybe you should put it out. D-don't you think we're in a no fire zone now or something." He looked around the park . "You know, only you can prevent forest fires."

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
Blair watched warily as the fireball vanished. "Not afraid of it. Just you know, long hair and playing with fire doesn't seem like a smart combination."

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
Blair leaned to the side and tried to decide if just making a break for the school would make him look him wimpy, uncool or just really, really fast.

Sean growled at Bel and pulled Blair forward a little.

"Glad to hear it man, I've grown sorta attached to my hair and all." Blair paused and thought it over. "All! I sorta like all of my body parts and stuff. Would rather none of them be on fire!"

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
Blair's mind replayed Bel's words over in his head. 'Unless I want to' What on earth did that mean? And a wink? Was that a good wink or a 'carry around a fire extinguisher' wink?

Blair jumped when Bel threw his cigarette on the ground and decided that it was more of a fire extinguisher wink.

Mumbling a goodbye, Blair darted around Bel and took off in a run speedy walk towards the dorms, Sean darting ahead of him.

[OOC: Can I poke the dEMOn?]

Evening in the Park, walking the dog.

[identity profile] section9-togusa.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
Togusa finally got tired of punting chickens around, (He was sure that one flew into the principal's office, and he had run like mad after that.) Now it was time to take Walter's puppy for a walk while Walter and Victor were out. Cuddling the pup, he pulled his hood over and stuffed the little black fluff ball into his shirt, the thermoptics hiding him.

"Okay, just until we get outside, Pup. Then we'll go walking around town. Sound good to you?" He ruffled the puppy's head and started for the outside for the park. Looked like a good place to play with a puppy. He flipped off his thermoptics a little ways away and set Pup down. "Okay, let's get you some exercise."

Pup yipped and began to sniff around, growling occasionally at strange scents. Too bad he couldn't tell Togusa everything he was smelling.

Then he found a puddle and began to attack his reflection.

Togusa noticed the other people in the park and decided to keep his distance, while watching out for Pup. "Hey there. You have your reflection. Maybe..." He pulled a ball out of his pocket. "But you have to bring it back. Understood?" He tossed it a little bit away, keeping an eye out on the other people there at the same time.

Pup raced after the ball, yapping in a strange tone that changed from happy small dog to unearthly creature and back again seamlessly.

The ball didn't stand a chance as he attacked it and tumbled through the grass.

Togusa grinned a little and ran after Pup. "Hey, you're..." he stopped when he heard the change in it's voice. Snapping his fingers, he knelt down near Pup and looked at what remained of the ball. "You really have to tear things up, don't you?" He ruffled its fur again and then switched to online, leaving a message that he figured would be vital if what he was seeing got too interesting.

Pup jumped up and licked Togusa's face and if he nipped just a little, Walter wasn't going to send him home to Daddy, was he?

He whined a little and went back to tearing at the ball, chasing it across the grass as it slid away from him.

Togusa ran again after Pup, not so worried now, since the other people in the park were keeping to themselves. "Pup! Bring the ball back! I have to throw it for you!" He rubbed at his cheek. At least the vampiric puppy hadn't drawn blood.

Pup caught the nefarious ball and began to punish it for its misbehavior.

Now if he could find something to impale it on.

That thought passed through Pup's head leaving barely a trace as he rolled in the dewy grass. When Togusa got closer, he shook himself, to get the cold water out of his fur.

"Hey!" Togusa wiped off the water from his face and picked up Pup. You just love getting into mischief, don't you?" He grinned at Pup and set him down. "But that's okay. I needed a shower anyway."

Pup wiggled and wriggled and licked some water off of Togusa's ear, whining and growling slightly down toward the grass. A moment's investigation will reveal the ravaged pieces of the ball.

He squirmed out of Togusa's arms and began running toward the duck pond, yapping at the sleeping birds.

Walter hadn't said to leave the ducks alone...

"Hey!" Togusa again was running after Pup, thinking that he was getting more exercise than the dog was. "No to hunting anything, Pup! Walter told me!" Little thing loved to get into everything. He wondered if that was how Alucard was. "Just stick to balls and sticks and...stuff." He sat down on the grass, resting an arm on his leg and watching Pup to make sure it didn't cause bloodshed.

Pup took Togusa's sitting down as permission to chase after the ducks some more.

There was a smell among the flock that made his hackles raise and little red eyes glow.

Then his hackles smoothed down.

Maybe the duck that wasn't a duck would be friends with a pup that wasn't a pup. If he could find it.

[identity profile] section9-togusa.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
Togusa sighed and stood up again, walking quickly to the Duck pond. He kenlt down and tapped Pup on the head. "No hunting. Walter said. Maybe you want to go somewhere else?" Togusa was getting a little hungry. He felt in his pocket and made sure he still had his wallet. "I'm hungry. Let me get something to eat, then you play some more." He picked up Pup and pushed him in his coat. "Then we'll find something else for you to do here."

Pup whined. He hadn't found the duck that might be his friend yet!

Togusa patted Pup and found a store that sold some snacks. Grabbing a few hot dogs, he snarfed them down, wondering why Pup seemed a little offset about the food. Reaching FH, he walked down the halls, stopping once to look over some flyers, then headed for his room. "Tired, Pup. You can stay here until Walter is back." He took off his thermo optic shirt and flopped down in bed, leaving a brief message for Walter on his voicemail before falling asleep.
