Movie Sign Theater, January 22

The marquee lights up.

NOW PLAYING
THEM
12:00, 2:00, 4:00, 6:00, 8:00, 10:00

The now hiring sign? Still in the window. And considering Joel had to clean up after the kid things in the theater last night, it'd be appreciated.

Josh had nothing better to do.

How sad for him.

So he wandered down to the theater, boggled for a moment at the choice of movie, and then walked up to the box office. "One for the noon show, please."

Josh handed over the cash. "I teach up at the school--some of 'em giving you problems this weekend?"

"Seriously? I teach government." Josh tried to think through his class roster for someone who might've done it. "Remember what they looked like?"

Josh ran through the mental list of his class roster. Couple of redheads in his classes, but this didn't really seem like Angela's style. He didn't know Lily well enough to make a call. "Did the girl have a British accent?"

Josh frowned. "Huh." Then he remembered what he ahd heard on the radio, put two and two together and got..."CJ?"

His expression darkened. "I think I have an idea of who to talk to about this," he said. "And if it's who I think it was, you'll be getting an apology later this week."

"I'll thwap her all right," Josh muttered. He looked back at the guy in the ticke booth. "That way to the movie, right?"

Josh waved. "Will do."

The Baron, having finished his tea and further exploring the town, passed the movie theatre and slowed down. He knew what it was but had never actually been in one - something about a cat wearing a suit tended to attract unwanted attention at times. He walked over to the box office and looked up. "One for the 8.00 show, please."

"Thank you," the Baron says politely as he pays. "Good day."

Josh watched the movie. He was kind of hoping it was a documentary of things that might happen in this town.

A normally sane former secretary had apparently been turned into a teenager and had been giving attitude to some guy in a theater.

He lived with a miniature giraffe.

Comparatively? Mutant ants aren't such a big deal.

The Baron strolled into the darkened theatre, and stopped as he hit a sticky patch. Gingerly he wrenched his formerly immaculate shoes from the floor and looked down at them in dismay. He continued his sticky way up the stairs, choosing a seat and having little difficulty making it stay unfolded.

Having little experience with movies, he hoped this one wan't representative.

Jaye checks in. And leaves a doily on the breakroom table.

[ooc: My mother is a collector of bad B horror flicks. I can't remember how many times I was subjected to this film..."A wonderful little picture about ants at a picnic." And people wonder why I'm like I am today.]
