After a few days in bed, Lilah was feeling mostly better. However, there was no way she was going into work with the cadre of vampires she called her staff if she couldn't speak because her jaw was wired shut.

Should you actually show up to work today, you'll notice I'm not here. Don't destroy the office celebrating, but I won't be in for a few more days.

Also, don't eat the clients. It makes drumming up repeat business a real bitch.

Drusilla saw the note on the door and ignored it. It was outside. Outside meant sunlight, and fire, and delicious pain that she didn't wish for quite at the moment. She sat down at the front desk of Wolfram & Hart and started painting her nails.

Receptionist was a lovely job. No one ever seemed to call.
