Gates in front of the school, all day
Barbossa was blowing off classes to sit behind a folding table in front of the school grouds. The radio on the ground beside him was playing "The Top 1,847 Pirate Shanties in No Particular Order." Hanging on the front of the table was a sign:
"Fer the last two weeks ye've been hearing tryouts o' people 'n things who be interested in joining Pirate Radio.
Now be the time t' vote on this semester's radio DJs.
The thirteen nominees that be makin' in through the tryouts 'n be still mad enough t' want t' join the Buccaneer Crew be:
1. Barbossa
2. Archie Kennedy
3. Crow
4. Alanna & Faithful
5. Jaye Tyler
6. Rita Skeeter
7. Lilly Kane
8. Crowley
9. Bridge Carson
10. DEATH
11. Lee Adama & John Crichton
12. Pip Bernadette
13. Cally
Please be pickin' yer seven favorites!"
There were pieces of paper to be filled out and dropped into the voting box. The pirate was giving everyone who voted a sticker that read, "Arr! I be votin' at Pirate Radio."
He had an umbrella and was on guard against inclement weather or balloon bandits.
[OOC: Vote (IC, please) for your seven favorite of the thirteen radio DJs we've heard over the last few weeks. The poll will be open until noon tomorrow, when the results will be announced. All characters--students, teachers, and townies--are eligible to vote.]

At lunchtime...
Boysenberry, pecan, and banana cream, to be specific.
Re: At lunchtime...
Mmm. Pie.

"Do I have to, like, rank them, or does that not matter?"

He held out a slice of one of the pies that Xander had left. "Pie?"

"Democratic election. Ha!" He then grabs a form, and since he hasn't actually heard any of the broadcasts (Ferengi may have excellent ears, but the whole time-space contiuum does not warp so they can hear past radio broadcasts), he simply writes his own name seven times and shoves the slip in the box.
"Hoo-mons." He shakes his head with that last word. "I guess it's a good idea to see what your customers want. Never believed in customer feedback forms myself. After all, Rule of Acquisition Nineteen: Satisfaction is not guaranteed."

He held out a hand. "I be Barbossa, by the way."

He grinned. "Pretty sure they'd be takin' away me piratin' license, if we were a sort o' people that cared about paperwork."

"Nice to see you outside of detention Mr. Barbossa
or can I just call you 'Bar'... 'Barbie'?. I was actually hoping to catch you and have a chat about sailing."no subject
He smiled at Pippi. "Would ye be interested in joinin' me some Saturday? It be naught but a jollyboat, but it be mine."

"I was wondering; Walter, whom you may or may not have met yet, is putting together a series of competitions. I was thinking of proposing something to do with sailing if we can find boats to compete with. Between you, me, and Archie. Though between the fact that Archie only served on frigates, I'm used to piloting clippers, and you've been taking your jollyboat out every weekend... You'll probably win... But it would be great fun either way. Are ya interested?"
