Streets between School and Serenity Point plus beach - Monday Night of Lawlessness - Late
Pippi and Pip ride Old Man down from the high school and make a bee-line for Serenity Cove where Pippi had parked her boat when she arrived.
The hooves clatter on the pavement as Old Man moves faster then he's been seen to move since he arrived.
Both students are wearing large dark coats and dark hats with wide brims. Pip's long red scarf streams out behind them, flapping in the wind as if waving good bye to somebody they've left behind.

No cops. No cops at all. And the mayor's place was definitely gone.
This was definitely not a good night to be out in Fandom. He thumbed off the safety.

"I don't think we'll have much trouble." she says back to Pip.
"I don't hear nearly as much noise as there was earlier. This should be a snap."

"Walter?"
no subject
Probably the same thing Walter was doing except maybe more responsibly.

And you?"

"And I will always have your back if you need it." He went to stand next to Old Man. "If he can not take three, I can easily keep up."
This no contraction thing was really annoying.

"Better than I thought, although I will never have another day off ever, and he has some odd dos and don'ts."

"But he doesn't... does not want me to use contractions. Or swear. Do you know what a bother that is? It is actually more of pain in the... but I am not supposed to say that. But he can, 'because he knows better.'"

And Old Man took off like a shot.
no subject
He was still holding his gun pretty firmly. Healthy sense of paranoia and all.

Walter may have accidentally jammed Pip in the ribs with an elbow. Not hard enough to bruise. Probably.
no subject
Screw that.
Old Man came to the dirt path that led down the hill to the beach and didn't bother even slowing down. He skid down the slope like a kid on a water slide... Except this kid was a horse with three real kids on its back.
He hit the sand at the bottom of the slope and made for where Pippi had left her boat in the sand, just above the high tide line.
Pippi jumped off Old Man and headed to the boat.
"You guys can wait here, I'm just gonna pull it out to the water.
She went to the back of the boat, dug her feet in the sand and did just that.

could always hopenever could tell.He was quite impressed by Pippi's feat of strength.

She lifted Old Man, with Walter still on him, into the boat.
"Get in." she said to Pip.
Once Pip was in she pushed the boat the rest of the way into the waves and hopped in herself. She pulled out a pair of huge ores and started rowing.
Singing a song in rythem with each pull.
"Well I sailed from Auckland to the Block,
A t'ousand miles and that's enough.
A t'ousand miles in the grinding sea.
Glory hallelu that's the life for me."
no subject
"Are we spending the night out here tonight?" That could be fun.
no subject
"I hadn't planned on it." she said looking up at him. "I just wanted to get the boat situated and then I thought to ride back up to the dorms... I'll be honest, I kinda hoped something exciting would happen. But if it hasen't by now, spending the night in the cold isn't going to make anything happen I should think. It's just gonna make Old Man grumpy. He's quite spoiled having his own room."
They were nearing the docks.
"I'll tie it up on the dock, near that Artie guy's house. He's the strongest man... In the world! Nobody's gonna mess with a boat that he lives near I bet."

Thinking about the previous cold night, Walter decided that Pippi had an excellent point about a night out in the cold, especially on the water. They'd have to try that when the weather got warm.
"The troublemakers must be afraid of us," Walter said with typical self-assurance. "We might as well sleep someplace warm."

They got to the pier, Pippi managed to lasso a catch and pull them up.
She tied it off, lifted Old Man, still with Walter, out onto the dock. Let Pip give her a hand up. And everybody rejoined Walter up on Old Man's back.
Who was very grumpy by now as he could have been in his nice warm room this whole time eating hay.
Damn, trouble seeking kids who couldn't even find any trouble.

his mun was for bedhe was for mindless television in a warm room with a hot cup of tea and a snack."I'm cooking, let's go home."

She gave Old Man's flanks a kick and
