Posted Around Town, Thursday Morning Pre-Dawn

Callisto moved around town putting up posters on any available surface. She smirked as she passed the charred remains of that park-bench from last night. After she got rid of her last poster she made tracks back to the dorms.

Tex For Mayor!

Text reads:

TEX FOR MAYOR
BECAUSE,
SERIOUSLY,
SHE WILL KILL
YOU WHERE
YOU STAND.

Tex saw the posters and smirked. She did look rather impressive. The fact that perhaps a scare tactic might not be the best way to go didn't really occur to her.

Alfred saw the posters as well. He thought they were rather well made, despite the scare tactic. "Is the scare tactic really necessary when, as far as I can tell, you have no opponents that you are running against?"

[[OOC: This is assuming Tex is outside somewhere looking at the posters. Otherwise just assume that Alfred is talking to himself. 'Cause he's old. Or something.]]

"I don't think you've been paying much attention then. That weasel Quark is trying to run," she turned to Alfred and shrugged. "Got a problem with scare tactics?"

[identity profile] badassbutler.livejournal.com 2006-01-26 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"I don't think I've met Quark, though I hear he has a sense of ethics that make most politicians seem like saints." He shrugged. "Well, they say that the carrot and the stick works better than just the stick. I see the stick, you'll shoot me if I don't vote for you, but I fail to see the carrot."

[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com 2006-01-26 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Tex motioned around her to the quiet streets. "You already got the carrot."

Alfred smiled to himself. "So you're running on a campaign of public safety, then? Given the state of affairs the last few days, I can't say it will hurt. Why not advertise that you'll keep things safe, then?"

[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com 2006-01-26 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Tex waved a hand at the poster. "Sounds like you're volunteering to run my campaign."

[identity profile] badassbutler.livejournal.com 2006-01-26 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Alfred laughed. "I suspect I have enough trouble trying to open my restaurant in time. Do you need someone to run your campaign?"

[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com 2006-01-26 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Tex shrugged, it wasn't like she had a clue what she was doing. "I got posters."

[identity profile] badassbutler.livejournal.com 2006-01-26 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Alfred frowned. It was true that he had several things on his hands. His restaurant, the opening of his restaurant, tutoring Walter.

...But he really wasn't a gentleman's gentleman unless he could handle all that and more, really.

"Posters might not be enough, my dear. Especially considering that your major opponent has numerous resources and no discernible morals. And between the two of you, I'd much rather have you as mayor." He grinned enigmatically. "Would you like me to help run your campaign?"

[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com 2006-01-26 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Tex stared and wondered since when people thought she had morals. This town was insane. "No."

[identity profile] badassbutler.livejournal.com 2006-01-26 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Alfred smiled. "I suppose that makes life easier for me, then. I'm afraid I have some things I must see to, so I'll bid you good day, Miss Tex. I wish you luck in your campaign."

Tex grumbled something under her breath which might just be a goodbye and moved off. She still thought she looked rather cool on the posters.

Wonka spotted the posters on his walk and made a mental note to have a chocolate basket sent over to the new mayor when s/he was elected. He regarded the poster again. Well, perhaps he should send a chocolate basket over to Tex right away.

On her walk across town to check on Wolfram and Hart, Lilah noticed the poster. Unable to swear as eloquently as she wanted with her jaw still wired shut, she grumbled as she went back to her apartment, then took a picture with her digital camera and continued into the office.
