Jeff, God of Biscuits - 7pm FHT - I-Club Meeting [locked]

Veronica arrives early and pushes some tables together so the I-Club has a place to gather. She thanks Jeff for closing early to let them meet there and promises they will buy a lot of pie and coffee.

[ooc: i'm actually going to be afk until about 8 est, so i wanted to get this up early. feel free to add ocd threads if i forgot something!]

Xander is all signy and somewhat inny.

Mac signs in.

Parker arrives and grabs coffee.

Marty signs in and grabs and extra large coffee in order to try and stay awake for this meeting...

Codelia signs in.

Alanna signed in, Faithful faithfully on her shoulder.

Aeryn ~~who's not sure she signed up for a section but she showed up anyway, oops~~ signs in and stays towards the back. She's really just here to listen.

More attacks... what are we going to do?

Xander picked at the flakey, buttery crust of the ham and cheese croissant in front of him, frowning. ~~omg why did I type that because now I waaaaaant one~~

"It'd be nice if people who didn't personally get attacked or know someone who did were taking it seriously. When I was out putting up posters in town, it seemed like there was a lot of ~~totally NPC'd~~ 'yeah, whatever.' Like people either didn't believe it or didn't care. The girl at the 4th Sin, the one who looks like Rory dipped in bleach? Seemed more interested in telling me how good a lay Angelus was, than worried about the fact that Darla and Dru were actually in her place a month or so ago, talking about wanting him back."

Parker shuddered. "Please don't go to that place. My brain..."

She grimaced. "Where the hell are those two, that's what I want to know? It's not that big of an island, damnit!"

~~Xander's brain has never gone to that place, and could not find it with a map, a compass, and OnStar built into his ass. Nope.~~

"My brain just likes the part where Angelus was having to hit up the local house of pay-for-play to get some booty," Xander answered with a snicker.

"But yeah, damn good question - where are those two holing up? What've we got on the island that's all... lair-y?"

Cordelia looked at Xander. "I know Darla and Dru are like..super-crazy, but honestly? How many times have we kicked some vamp ass, Xander?" She paused, and looked at everyone in the group.

"We can dust them, believe me. We just need to be organized and efficient. We need to know where they're staying, what they're doing in Fandom, and come up with a plan. Plans are good."

"So you have prior experience with these two?" Veronica asked.

"Yeah. Sure. That's why they're still alive... er... undead," Marty said with an eyeroll. "The last time someone seriously tangled with Drusilla who didn't have any powers ended up with broken ribs, a broken wrist and a concussion. If we're going after them? We'll need more than just a plan."

"Superior firepower and superior numbers," Parker said crisply, "But first, we need to know what those numbers are, so we can counter it. And that means finding them. I don't want anyone stepping into a rattlesnakes' nest with no warning."

"I'm sorry, but didn't I see a whole bunch of guys in white armor running around town with laser-doo-hickeys? Why can't they risk their own necks."

Parker shrugged. "They can. They're getting paid for it. But I doubt they're all *that* smart. I want a back-up plan. And a plan behind that one. If you want something done right, you do it yourself."

"Yeah, because we've been doing a stellar job lately."

Parker glared at him. "It's been three days. If you want to give up now, Mr. Negative Blank, and become a vampire-- be my guest. I'll roast marshmallows on your ashes. If not? Shut up and help narrow down where those two undead bimbos could be hiding."

"Three days? Parker... These two have been around for *months*. Get your calendar working. Since school has started we've negated *one* vampire threat. Two attempts to turn him back to a vampire have occured and we we're powerless to stop them," Marty says with a glare.

"Don't call me negative, Parker. Call me a realist on the subject. You weren't the one who ended up in a hospital bed after that damn night. Nor were you the one who saw-"

Marty stops suddenly and shuts up.

"Forget it."

Parker grimaced. "And for a while? Those two vampires did nothing. Too damaged or scared to, I don't know. And one of them had Spike there to keep her on a leash. He's gone, the law was gone, and now the problem's intensifying, so yeah, I think we have to at least try." She pointed the pencil at him.

"I have been looking and researching for a way to keep Angel as Angel, and there are things we can do. And damnit, I know you ended up in the hospital! Do you think I'm blowing that off? I had my head messed with by Dru too! What is it you saw, that's got you so spooked now?"

"I *said*: Forget it!" Marty said in a tone that could frighten even Parker. He grabbed his coat and headed to the door.

[OOC: Plus I have to save something for therapy... ;)]

"I would love to believe that, but we've met the evidence, so, dropping that line of questioning altogether, we're left with a map." Parker pulled her map [tm Logan Echolls] out of her purse, and spread it out on the table.

"Lots of places (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh_ooc/238414.html) where the buildings were abandoned; plus, the reserve, if they get desperate," she said, looking discouraged.

"They seem to show up at the worst possible time. I had a little run-in with Drusilla the other night at Caritas. Apparently she still bears a grudge for me setting her on fire," Marty said drowsily before falling asleep at the sound of Parker's voice.

Parker kicked him on the ankle. "Jarod ran into her too. Wake up, Blank. What's going on with Safewalk, are you still on that?"

"Ow! Frak! Jeez Parker. I'm not involved with safewalk anymore. Not since I got kicked of student council for attacking you know who," Marty said rubbing his angle.

"It's not my fault the school hired a vampire to teach psychology," Marty muttered.

"No, and you should've been re-instated, but you had your chance." Parker grinned. "Go back to sleep. Unless you can point to someplace on this map that looks likely for a vampire hide-out."

Marty points to the graveyard. "Or is that too obvious a choice?"

Parker studied it. "Probably. I don't think anyone's buried there any more." She grimaced. "Still. It's a place to start."

The Tick seemed very concerned about what he had just heard. "Wait, are you talking about Becky?" He skipped right over the part about the "lay" because that was creepy on many levels. "She actually told you that she wanted Angelus back?"

Yes, the question was redundant. Tick was caught off-guard.

Xander looked over to Professor the Tick, and nodded. "Yeah, Becky. She said Angelus was... um." He coughed, because yo, Professor the Tick. "Fun to be with, in more senses than one, and Angel was just boring. I pointed out that if Angelus came back, he wouldn't be trying to pretend to be a nice guy anymore, so not so much with the fun, more with the pointy bitey killing of people, and she seemed to kind of get it, but she also didn't seem to care that much."

Tick got the impression of what Xander was coughing about. He shuddered because, well, Professor The Tick. "Thank you for that, Xander. It's good to know when people aren't thinking reasonably about this kind of thing."

He was going to have to talk to Becky. He wasn't going to mention this to the group, though, because they didn't need to hear about one of their professors going to see a hooker no matter what the context.

"Can we just go on the chop route?" Alanna gestured to her sword in case anyone needed an explanation.

"We have to find them first, Alanna," Tick said. "That seems to be the biggest problem."

"Then again, we are investigators..."

Alanna bit down on her lower lip. "Well, maybe toss this idea to the magic group, can't they trace them somehow? And, in a town this small, someone's gotta know something. Right?"

"Agreed," Tick said, smiling. "But just because the magic group will be trying their stuff, that doesn't mean we can't have investigation fun! Ask questions, keep an eye open, and most of all, do what Veronica says because I don't know what questions to ask or what to watch for."

Anything we need to start looking into?

Slow play is definitely our friend.

I have no idea whether being a computer geek is classed as an investigaty thing, or an actual sciency thing, because really, it's a little bit of both. I wasnt really sure. If I shoved her in the wrong one, my bad for being confused. Heh.
