Weather Oddities

Contrary to all weather reports from the mainland, the temperature on the island has been falling all day.

Snow begins falling at around 6pm. It starts out light, but gets heavier as the night goes on. The snow is wet and heavy. It will melt on the warm sidewalks, making them slippery, but manageable if one walks carefully.

A hawk flying around the park suddenly gets hit by a large, wet, and cold snowflake. Then another. Cursing to himself, he lands in a tree, contemplating whether to seek shelter or stick it out like a real hawk.

Ivanova, on the way to her appointment, shudders. Her head was getting tingly. She hoped it was just a headache. She really, really hoped it was just a headache.

She also wanted her new fluffy boots.

Phoebe was sitting in the comfy chair in her suite at the Arms hotel, wrapped in a thick comforter and watching the snow come down.
