Across the causeway
A beat up black and white car crosses the bridge. It has a cop motor, a four hundred and forty-cubic-inch plant. Cop springs. Cop shocks. Cop suspension. Cop tires. It was a model made before catalytic converters, so it runs on regular gas. Unfortunately the cigarette lighter doesn't work.
Following behind it is a maroon car that used to say "Murph and the Magic Tones", but now has "The Blues Brothers Band" spray painted on it.
Somewhere across the bridge the cars, which are going at a ridiculous speed, start hitting the drifting snow and spin out of control. They hit a drift and are sent into the air cartwheeling like mad...
Though they somehow land on the island right on their tires and without apparent damage to the cars.
Elwood looks over at the sleeping hulk that is his brother and slaps him on the shoulder.
"Hey. We're here."
