Friday afternoon

The dingbots have had the shop open all morning, after they had placed the signs all around town. Agatha had spent pretty much all of the night and this morning working on Walter's commission.
The bot in question was kind of cute, and round, with tiny legs and no functional arms. It had a telescoping eye, and a little hammer on an extending arm. It's polished copper back bore the inscription - To V, for early mornings after late nights. -W, just as Walter had requested. Currently the bot sat on the counter, and blinked at the falling snow.

[[for Walter to come and pick the bot up, and for anyone else who wants to visit.]]

Walter had pulled the picture of Victor down from his corkboard (http://pics.livejournal.com/walter_n_wires/pic/0000qhk1) and had it in his pocket. He entered Miss Clay's shop with his bags from All and Sundries (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/576084.html?thread=22719572#t22719572) and set them down inside the door.

"Good afternoon, Miss Clay. I have the photograph. Is that the clock?" He bent down to look at the bot and grinned. "It is brilliant!"

Walter handed over the photograph, still fascinated by the dingbot. "I cannot wait to show Victor. It is perfect, Miss Clay, thank you."

"Miss Clay, this is worth more than what you are charging. May I help make up the difference by offering my assistance in the future?" He handed over the agreed upon sum.

"Your creations are wonderful, but if you need anything they cannot help you with, you have my telephone number."

"I would be happy to." At this rate, he should start a business. He took the fliers and tucked them carefully into his bags to keep them away from the snow.

Victor's gift was carefully collected and put in a small box he had brought along for just that purpose, not wanting to risk breaking it before he even got it home.

"If there is anything else, you know how to reach me. Thank you again, Miss Clay."
