Town, 16:50 power outage

After helping dig out Baron Humbert von Gikkingen at his shop, Tex was on her way back to her shop when the power suddenly went out all over the island. Thanks to the storm that had been brewing all night, everything went dark and Tex was once more grateful for the perks of her armour as the nightvision compensated. Not that there was much to see in the snow.

Sighing, she opened a comm to Commander Appo. "Commander, what's going?"

"Power just went out over the entire island, sir. Troopers are reporting in, the entire island is out and there's no back up generator except for the school."

Great. She didn't suppose Quark was willing to deal with this.

"It's going to get cold, sir." Appo pointed out.

"I know," Tex looked up at the school where the lights were still on. "I'll contact you in a bit."

She broke up the transmission and opened a new one that went directly to Principal Smith's telephone.

Smith picks up his ringing phone and answers.

"I'm busy."

"I don't care," Tex replies.

"What do you want?" Smith ask, somewhat impatient.

"I don't know if you've looked out of your shiny office window but power just went out in town," Tex replied. "And your school seems to be nice and warm."

Smith sighs. "You wish us to become a refugee center from the cold and blustery weather. Fine. We shall open our doors to the townsfolk. I'd ask that they all congregate in the school gym."

"You're so generous," Tex doesn't sound very thankful, though. "I'm sure you'll be happy to provide blankets and food for everyone. The future mayor might thank you. Tex out."

She broke off the transmission and contacted Commander Appo with the order to gather all townies together.
