Lucas gave the sales floor one last glance before nodding to the members of Marc and opening up the shop for the first time.

In honor of the occasion which to be honest, Lucas didn't expect THAT many people to attend, after all, what with the excitement of the snow monster attack, they'd only had one day to advertize, and no newsprogram to take over and advertise with Lucas had set out an assortment of snacks ~~including Eddie's "special recipe" brownies~~ and beverages ~~all of which were spiked~~. All of the artwork and posters were marked down by 25%, the listening stations were pristine ~~and never would be again~~, and the stereo system was blasting a delightful mix of early nineties alternative ~~and Gwar~~ including Counting Crows, the Cranberries, the Mieces ~~and Gwar~~ and the Flaming Lips. ~~Pearl Jam would not, under any circumstances, be played.~~

Everything was in order. He opened the door, hung the Grand Opening Art sale! sign on the front window, and headed back to the backroom for a quick nap.

Mark and Marc could handle whatever customers happened to wander through for the first hour or so.

Below is a smaller sign reading: "Please clean up any mess left after breaking the one person at a time rule"

Mark gets bored. So he wanders off to dust. 'Specially around the listening stations.

((*smirks*))

Paige had no lessons before class so she figured she's actually leave the dorms, she was especially interested in the new music store so figured she'd take a look.

She didn't really have anything to mind to buy so figured she'd out the listening stations, one already had something in, she shrugs and put on the head phones, as Dire Straits 'Romeo and Juliet' begins. oh pretty she thinks and so very much not the sort of thing she'd normally listen too. In fact it's so pretty she may actually lose herself in the music and start in dance, funny that huh?

The brownies look especially tasty.

Mark dusted, headbanging to . . . the Cranberries, apparently, since that's what was playing over the stereo in the store. He bopped from listening station to listening station with his duster, then paused when he saw someone dancing in one.

Well, it had gotten him a date last time.

He started dusting the dancer.

And it probably would have got him a date this time too if she weren't so very very taken.

She didn't notice at first, since her eyes were closed and she wasn't really paying much attention to anything but the music, then her eyes opened and she just looked at him for a moment, then smirked.

"Am I that dirty?" she asks sweetly

Mark stared at her for a moment, then giggled. "Oh, um," He bobbed his head up and down for a second, then dusted her nose. "Hi."

She giggled back wrinkled her nose as he dusted it, the removed the headphones.

"Hi, I'm Paige, I go to the school up there," she replies gesturing in more or less the direction of the school, "you're new right? ~~cos I'm sure I'd remember you~~"

Victor had seen the sign that morning, and decided to stop by. Once inside, he nodded and said "Cool." This place looked like somewhere he could have fun hanging out at.

He approached the nearest salesperson and asked, "Hey, do you guys have black lights here?"

"I'm . . ." Mark checked his name tag. "Mark. I'm in a band."

Dave, Marc band member number six, looked around vaguely. "Oh. Hey. I, uh, I dunno. Lemme check with tha boss." He hit an intercom buzzer. "Um, boss? Help?"

Lucas woke with a start. "Yeah, Dave?" He blinked. Right. Intercom. He pushed the button. "Yeah, Dave? Hey, I'll be right out, actually."

Dave nodded. He didn't seem to realize that Lucas couldn't see it. "He'll, uh, he'll be right out," he told Victor.

Paige just about managed to bite back a laugh when he checked his name tag, maybe it was like Sawyer or something, he went by two names and just forgot one he was using today? Or maybe he was just a little spacey, she guessed it was the second, which she totally understood.

"Oh right the band that's playing tonight right? Marc, with a 'C'" she smiled, "I'll probably come check it out ~~if it's before the stupid UK mun has to go to bed~~ You're just visiting then?" she asks with a slight frown, "shame."

"Heh," Mark shrugged and giggled simultaneously. "I've known Lucas for . . ." he counted on his fingers, and ran out. "Ever." He half-turned and gave Paige a grin. "I'll be coming back, though,"

"No prob," he replied, and waited around.

It's just harmless flirting, nothing to feel guilty about she tells herself.

"So it's Lucas that owns this place then? It's pretty cool, music and art, two of my favorite things!" she says.

Then matches his gin, "that'll be cool, I'll keep an eye for you, I think I'm gonna be here quite a while and it's always good to make more friends."

Mark's grin goes wider and dopier. ~~Heh, get it? dope-ier. . . .~~ "Cool." He raises his eyebrows. "Hey, do you, like, wanna brownie?"

Lucas sauntered up, hands in his pockets, and raised an eyebrow at Victor.

What was it with this town and being green?

"Can I help you?"

Victor was used to the eyebrow-raising. by now. he knew that in this town, no one meant any harm by it.

"Yeah, I'm looking for a black light, please. And some of those glow-in-the-dark stars if you have 'em, too."
