Jeff, God of Biscuits, Saturday Noon-ish
Dewey had decided to spend his Saturday in town, despite living off island. And where better to get a good start on his day (having only woken up thirty minutes previous) than a bakery, right?
"Hey, Mister clerk, how much are the brownies?" Dewey asks.
"They're very affordable, sir. A dollar a piece," the clerk responds.
"You know, that is awesome. Brownies are one of my favorite things, you know?" Dewey says.
"Oh really?" the clerk responds.
"Yeah..." Dewey replies, and doesn't even think twice as the music begins to swell...
"Bearclaws and fritters and jelly filled donuts
Chocolate croissants so good you will go nuts
All ate to tunes by the best rock star kings
These are a few of my favorite things!
Cream fill-ed biscuits and crisp apple streudels
Zeppelin and Pink Floyd and schnitzel with noodles
Creamsicles, Fudgesicles, new guitar strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Gals in white dresses who love them a rock star
Snickers and Hersheys and a nice frozen Clark bar
Rolling Stone solos that melt off your face
And my sekrity love for Ace of Bass!
When the Sting bites
When the bite stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad"
Dewey doesn't even miss a beat. "So, gimme four brownies, mister clerk. I gots me a cravin' that needs fulfillin'." Dewey then gets handed the requested baked goods, pays, and wanders out, leaving a very disoriented clerk behind the counter.
