Caritas--Monday--OPEN

Jarod opened the bar like he did almost every Monday, waved to the band like he did almost every Monday, then began setting up like he did almost every Monday. He and Parker had mostly made up, although there had been some momentary weirdness about their interactions lately that he couldn't quite put his finger on.

He yawned, and tried to think of something to do with his days. It's possible there was a good reason he was never allowed to fall into his own routine before.

[ooc: Will be afk until about 6:30 pm, EST. Feel free to mod your own drinks before then.]

Parker came in whistling and generally in a good mood-- Dr. Carter had at least been interested in her report on the weekend's activities-- and flipping the key Lorne lent her in her hand. "The usual, Monsieur, would you please?"

Crap. Parker had thought she'd done a pretty good job with the make-up, but maybe that was just in comparison to what she looked like without it. "Sparring accident. I got slammed into the floor," she said, taking a sip of her Diet Coke. "Is Lorne around? I have something to return to him."

Parker widened her eyes at him, and shrugged. "Really? Did I tell you I found out that Marty was the bunnynapper yesterday?" She played with her little umbrella, posing it in her straw, then perching it on the rim of the glass.

"No, I might have scratched my face when I took him down in the Common Room, though." Parker flipped some of her hair behind her ear, and probably exposed the bruises around her neck in the process. "I woke him up with Ride of the Valkyries at 110 decibels this morning. That made me feel a lot better."

Parker blinked, then rolled her eyes at herself. "God damnit." She took another slurp of her Diet Coke, then stabbed at the ice with the straw. "There might have been some-- contretemps, on Friday. It's taken care of. Lighten up."

Parker didn't look up, and stabbed the ice a bit harder. "There was a hunting party. We hunted. We killed the vampires. They didn't kill us." She looked up, and considered. "That's all."

Parker studied him a moment, then slumped a little, rattling her drink. "You're pissed."

GOB walked into Caritas and strode to the bar with a big grin on his face. "Good evening, Jarod! How are you tonight?"

"You want the physical indicators, or the verbal?" Parker took a swallow of her drink. "Or the fact that Zero and Vala have already had the exact same reaction, and I'm sure Jack and a few other people will too, at some point." She rubbed her eyes. Then, fiercely: "It had to be done."

"Yep," GOB said, grinning some more. "Becky wants me. Bad."

Parker thinks about it, trying to be more honest and less defensive than she'd been with Zero and Vala. "Those two bitches-- monsters-- scared and hurt four of my friends. Jack, Vala, Rory, you." She glared at him. "I reported this to the school administration three weeks ago, and I saw no results. I heard nothing about action to be taken, and it kept escalating."
