The Park ... Afternoonish

Orlin is jogging. He is being productive. If you call jogging strolling to the duck pond and then sitting down to feed the ducks. Maybe he is being emo. Or contemplative. No one can know now can they?

As coincidence would have it, Bel was also walking through the park. Also possibly emo. Or contemplative.

He saw Orlin and nodded in greeting. "Hey."

Orlin possibly smiled in return.

"Hey, care to join me?"

Bel settled on the park bench and leaned back. "Enjoying the afternoon?" he asked casually.

"I'm not sure." Orlin said thoughfully, "I heard you mentioned on the radio though this morning."

"What did it say? I missed part of it," Bel said.

Orlin paused to push his brain back to this morning. "Dance, punchbowl and something else."

"Couldn't have been anything too scandalous for a change," Bel said. "We went to the dance. We had punch. We danced. The radio is desperate for news, apparently.

"Speaking of the radio, however," he went on, "good thing I didn't overreact when they said that you and Camulus and Phoebe woke up together."

Wincing, Orlin quickly clarified, "She was on the bed, Camulus and I were on the couch."

"That's what she frantically called to tell me," Bel said, amused.

Orlin grinned, amused.

"Well, then it must be true."

Besides, Camulus was a much more interesting person to spend the night with,he was sure. But banish that from the mind, dating Clay now.

As if he read Orlin's throughts, Bel asked, "So, you and Camulus?"

"Are neighbors." Orlin said calmly. Total lie. It may have shown on his face.

"Neighbors who share a couch," Bel said gravely, nodding, smirking.

Agatha was taking the scenic route down to the bookstore. She had no idea if it was open today or not, but she figured it couldn't help to check. She was a little surprised to see Orlin in the park.

"Hey."

Orlin smiled his knee melty smile.

"Hey yourself precious." He said, patting a spot on the bench, indicating she should definately come sit with him for a bit.

The bookstore could totally wait. She joined him on the bench and leaned on him. "How are you today?"

"Emo." Orlin said, kissing the top of her head.

"Why?" She snuggled into him.

"Why does one feel emo?" Orlin mused, completely all about snuggling on a park bench.

"Well, usually because something is wrong, or someone upset the person in question..." She was also all about the snuggling, especially since it was a bit cold. Well, more then a bit cold. Orlin was warm. The book informed her that boys were warm. So far the book was right.

"No, everything is good, very good." He smiled and decided that Clay should definately be sitting on his lap. "And I believe emo could be more existential then mopey."

Agatha was in agreement with the lap issue, and thus Orlin found himself with a lapfull of girl.
"You may be right. So, whatcha thinking about on this cold cold day?" She may have smiled a little as she said this, and kissed his nose.

"Actually, nothing." Lap full of girl was definately a goood thing. " Just relaxing, collecting thoughts into where they should go."

Agatha nodded solemnly. "Collecting thoughts is good." She cupped his face in her hands. He was so very very handsome. Which of course prompted kissage.
