Monday, Sparky Repairs

Agatha was humming. She was in a cheery mood. The radio did not say anything bad about her, and life in general was pretty good. Hence the humming. Now if she could just figure out how this darned thing Camulus gave her worked. How was she supposed to determine how to fix it if she couldn't even look at it's insides? She puzzled over it, as the dingbots busied themselves with cleaning the store and making it generally welcoming to visitors.

Orlin stalked in. Looking grumpy. But smiled when he saw Clay.

"Hey sweetie, " he greeted her, leaning across the counter to peck her cheeck

"Hey yourself. Why the grumpy?" She put the devise down.

"Went to bed on wrong side of bed, woke up on the wrong side of bed. And yes, I was in my own bed." He smiled as he caught her questioning look.

With a raised eyebrow, Agatha looked at him. "What makes you think i would assume it wasn't your bed?" Because see, she wasn't suspicious until he said that. and now she was. Good going.

He grinned at her cheekily, totally unaware that he was treading on thin ice.

"Sorry, I was basically given the third degree about our... morning activities yesterday." He ran his hand through his hair and tried to regain his usual cheerful mood.

Ah yes. She had thought that no radio comentary meant noone noticed.

"By who? And more importantly, why?"

Orlin now looked decidely uncomfortable.

"Erm... Camulus... I think he was... jelouse." He looked sad. And pained.

Maybe he should work on keeping his mouth shut. Yes, that might help.

Agatha shook her head. She had no idea what was goign on and she was almost but not quite certain she didn't wnat to know. But not quite.

"What did you tell him?"

"That it was none of his business and to leave me alone." So not mentioning the choosing bit. Had they been talking? Oh God's Thumb he hoped not.

"Think he will?" She could tell he was not mentioning something, but not what.

"Well, since there was much arguing and even maybe a small amount of violence," He rubs his sholder that was sore from where Camulus had thrown him into a wall reflexivly, "And didn't end on peacable fronts. I would say yes. For now."

She noticed the sholder rubbing. "Are you alright?" All thoughts other then concern fled her mind for now.

He grinned mischivously, and then put on a long suffereing face.

"I am ok, or I will be," he said plaintively.

And yet at the back of his mind, that whole choose thought lurked.

"Good. Anything i can do to help?" Not that she knew of anythign she could relaly help with, but Agatha was hte helpfull type. She did come around the counter to give him a hug. And a kiss. A nice long tongue-involving kiss. The kind one should not do in teh middle of one's place of employment.

Orlin enjoyed the entirely not appropriate for the workplace kiss. And then when it was done looked at the hand device.

"Oooh. This will be fun." He said, picking it up and managing to get the cap off the top. Something Clay hadn't been able to figure out how to do.

"Hey! Don't break it any more." Of course then she remembered that he said he was familiar with these.

"Can you tell if it is the kind you can use or the other kind?"

"This one is Ancient technology, not Goa'uld. I can use it." He peered at it for a moment. "It doesn't look broken or tampered with." he said thoughfully.

"He said it was malfunctioning." The thought that Camulus was not tellign the truth did nto actually occur to poor trusting Agatha.

"How does it work?"

"It could be it doesn't work for him as he doesn't posses the right gene." Orlin said, taking thw whole thing apart with a few twists. It was like one of those box puzzles, only cooler. "You need to focus your mind on what needs to be done, and that creates energy which heals."

Maybe he should explain that eventually his people turned into energy, when they ascended, but he didn't think that now was the time to get into that.

"It is magic?"

Thoughts to energy did nto make sense to Agatha.

"Hmm... The way he said it implied that it used to work but did not anymore."

She watched with great curiosity as he took the whole thing apart. "You will be able to put it back together right?"

Orlin grinned, and quickly had the healing device reassembled. "There was nothing wrong with it." he said, slipping it onto his hand.

"Do you have any hurts?" He might as well show it to her in action. It might make more sense that way. Rather then going into a long involved discussion about energy and matter. It might be confusing.

"How... odd." She wondered why Camulus had brought it in then.

"Not really? What's it do if you use it on someone who is not hurt?"

"It will make you even healthier." Orlin explained. "You could have something wrong with you and not even know it. But I wouldn't suggest using this for that. Just wastes energy."

"But if it's energy comes from thoughts, wouldn't ti have limitless energy?" She shrugged. And then thought about the possibility of perpetual energy. "Or is it limited by soemthing? Oh anduse it on yourself, you were looking like your shoulder hurt earlier."
