Agatha is behind the counter, reading a thick slightly used dictionary. She is trying to puzzle out the defenition of

He looked calm, and this could be interpreted as good or bad.

That was a sentance one never wants to hear. Ever. Especially not in a calm way.

"Hey. What's up?" She placed a bookmark in the dictionary and closed it.

"I'm off to South Carolina for a few days, I should be back before Wednesday next week though." He looks excited now.

"I just totally forgot to mention it and thought you should know."

Agatha looked completly startled. Once the initial shock passed she raised an eyebrowoverher glasses. "You forgot to mention it?"

She also had absolutly no idea where or what South Caolina was. "When are you leaving?"

"Erm... nowish?" Orlin offered, looking bashful. He really had forgotten, he wasn't used to having to tell people where he was, and it had only just occured to him he should tell Clay.
"Sorry."

Agatha blinked, and blinked again. He was leaving ... now? Her face fell and she looked rather dejected.

"Now? As in right now?"

Orlin looked uncomfortable as he saw her face, "Yeah... "

"I see..." She was trying to not cry. She was suceeding for now.

"Um... thank you for telling me?"

"I'm really sorry hun." Orlin said, hugging her. "I just got involved in my work, and I just totally forgot. But I will make it up as soon as I get back. Ok?"

"No, it's perfectly fine. I was just a little... startled is all." She hugged him back, really tightly, liekshe expected to never see him again. Which is roughly what she expected.

"Wonderful. I'll see you when I get back." Orlin hugged her again, gave her a quick kiss. And then he left. Because he was excited and social skills, not really his forte.

Agatha watched him go. Great. This was just wonderful. And fitting in with the book she had finished about men and women.

This was approximatly when she lost her battle with tears. She was pretty certain he will never ever come back, andit was probably something she had done. And Camulus was probably involved. She hated her life right now.
