Caritas - Open [2/24]

The zombie band is playing, the drinks are flowing, and the Host with the most is there for all your Lorney needs.

[ooc: OCD threads a-coming are up!]

Cordelia wanders down to Caritas in the early evening and takes a seat at the bar, looking for Lorne.

Cordelia smiled at Lorne, slightly nervously, because having someone you don't actually know who seems to know you very well? A little disconcerting.

There was also the case of the British accent.

"I wanted to ask you something," she said seriously. "You knew me well in LA, right?"

Giles bundled up and went to Caritas. He walked in, took off his coat, but left the scarf where it was.

"A hot toddy, please," he croaked.

Giles grinned despite himself.

"Thank you." He sipped. His throat felt a little better. Perhaps in a couple of days he'd feel up to singing.

He considered the person before him. He (at least Giles was 99% sure the demon was a he) was the first explicitly non-human individual Giles had met in Fandom. Ever the research geek intreagued professional, Giles introudced himself.

"I don't believe we've met. I'm Rupert Giles. And you?"

Harper wandered up to the bar. "Wiesbrau, thanks."

"Why thank you," Harper said, and started drinking. "Ah, that's the good stuff."

Lyta entered Caritas, part of a conscious effort to be a bit more social. The room was very quiet without Ivanova and, Lyta reasoned, snarky comments were better than none at all.

She made her way to the bar and ordered a soda.

Lyta smiled at the demon. "Thanks," she said. "I just needed to...be around people." The revelation was somewhat surprising to her, as she had spent much of her time at FH as a hermit. The background hum of mental activity was all around her, of course, and even louder than normal, but well within controllable limits. It was somewhat reassuring.

Moral skittered and scuttled into Caritas, still searching for its master. It dashed up to the bar, and with a tremendous bounce, lept up to the bar top.

"Boys don't cry?"

"Beer before liquor, never been sicker!" cried Moral. It peered at the stage. That'd be a much better vantage point. . . . It jumped down and scurried over.

The band launched into Boys Don't Cry as a tiny bot took the stage.

It jumped up and down to peer around the room.

"Boys don't cry?" it shouted. "Boys don't cry! Boys don't cry!"

It was a touch avant garde, but overall, Paula would have loved it.

Marty ran into the bar OW! and stopped dead in his tracks at the sight of the bot on stage.

"Oh boy."

Nadia ran into Marty OW! and swallowed. "Should we interrupt it? Only, it looks like it's having fun,"

All right if Nadia and Marty crash Caritas with the Moral Bot? We won't break anything.
