Monday, Sparky repairs

Agatha woke up and celebrated not being pink by having a cup of tea. It was that sort of day. The pills that Dr. Lambert had given her were working and she was no longer sneezing. As long as she was not sneezing, she was not pink.

Flipping the store sign to 'Open', she continued working on Pippi's project. She hadn't heard from Walter about what sort of metal his tutor was using in his restaurant, so she went with brass, on the theory that the subsequent model could be done in another material.

Victor walked in before his classes, Bot in hand. "Hey, Agatha!" he called, and Bot made a happy squealing noise.

"Hello Victor." She smiled at him and the bot. "What's up?"

"Not too much. I wanted to ask if you had time for a special project of mine, and I figured Bot could use the exercise. Not that he's fat or anything; he was following me around this morning and I figured he wanted to come with me."

Agatha looked a thte bot. "Do you mindif i take alook at him by the way? Walter had said that he developed quite a lot of personality, which they do not usually do, so i amkind of curious." She peered at the Bot, with obvious curiosity.

"What sort of project, and on what time frame?"

"Yeah, here," Victor said, handing Bot over. "I was hoping that you could make me something that'd shoot glitter at a certain time. I'm trying to set a trap, kinda, for a prank. I figure an actual robot like that morality thing Nadia had would take too long, so maybe something simple, like a thermous, or an air freshener, maybe? I dunno, something that wouldn't look out of the ordinary in the common room. I need enough to drench anyone in an area...about as big as your shop, I think. Maybe a little bigger, 'cause the common room's pretty big. So...maybe four of them? I could probably place two on the TV and two on tables? I'm not too good at this, so I was hoping you could help me. If you can, I'd need them by Wednesday at the latest."

Agatha took Bot and started carefully lookignoverhis machinery, but stopped when sh eheard Victor's request.

"What is it with you kids and glitter?" And considering Agatha is all of 19, 'you kids' came out soundign really kinda dumb.

"Alright, so you need glitter canons. THat look liek air freshners. Because you want to cover the room." She pondred, then drew a rectangle roughly the shape of her shop, scaled down. SHe put four small circles on it and drew four larger circles around them. The large circles covered almsot the entirety of the room.

"Alright, so if i make them with this *handwavy* radius or projection, andyou place them thusly, you will cover the entire room. However, i do not knwo the exact size of yoru common room, nor the furniture placements. Can you draw them in?"

Victor drew in the features as best as he could remember. "I want to make sure that these areas are sprayed," he said, lightly sketching circles around any place he figured people would either sit or stand to watch the movie. "Maybe if I put one on the table near the couch, and one over here near the chairs, one on the TV, and move a table over here for the last one, I'll have everything covered."

He looked over at Bot and smiled. "Is he okay? You know, he's really cool. He gets me up every time, and he's kinda cute to watch walk around."

Agatha was nodding as he drew in teh furniture. "Putting oen on the TV rahter then near it will prevent the TV from getting TOO congested with glitter. Are there any sensitive machines i nthat room? a lot of things may not work if glitter gets into them~~computers~~, so be careful about that. Same for any peopel who have breathing problems. Other thenthat, it should be easy. I still have some glitter left over form before, so i have some to test with. I can have these done by tomorrow, butyou will have to get your own glitter. The All and Sundries shop sells it in large containers i think."

This is where Agatha sneezed. And turned flourescent pink. And sighed. "Ooops, therei go again."

"Oh he shoudlbe fine, do you spend a lot of time interacting with him? That might explain his personality."

Victor smiled when Agatha turned pink. Fandom High strikes again... he thought. At least he wasn't the only one with an abnormal skin color, now.

"Is there any way I can get the TV one to spray out onto the audience? I don't want to have to vaccum it out of the television. That'd suck. Oh, and speaking of vaccums and sucking, can you reccomend one? I intend on cleaning my mess up, and want to make it as easy as possible."

"I think we now clash." she said a bit ruefully. At least she has gotten to the point of joking aobut the color.

"Yes, i cna make one with a side-pointing nozzle." She jotted that down on her notepad. She really couldn't wait to get the computer for this.

When Agatha heard Victor's request for a vacuum, she held a finer up and dissapeared into the back of the store. She came back out with a small thing on wheels. It looked liek a toy car.
"I've been using this. It rolls aroudnon it's own and sucks up whatever you tell it to. you cna also pick it up and pointit at stuff to suck up." She demonstrated by spilling a bit of glitter and cleaning it up withthe little car-thing.

"Oh wow, that'd be cool! Can I rent it from you?"

*sneeze* No more pink Agatha.

She laughed at that. "No, but you can borrow it. It's quite useful."

She thoguth aabout the rescent radio broadcasts. "Are people at the school turnign pink or somethign as well? Do you know what is going on?"

"Yeah, a lot of people have been developing powers lately. One girl can identify what something's made out of by tasting it, and my boyfriend can shoot spaghetti out of his fingertips. It makes me feel like less of a freak, you know? I mean, I'm one of the only two mutants here, and now all these people are getting powers, too. I kinda hope it stops soon, though. Most people seem more annoyed with their powers than anything."

"You're a mutant? With powers? What can you do? I ahd sort of assumed you were jsut form a group of peoplewho were green..." It had never occured to Agatha that Victor wasn't normalfor where he came from.

Victor laughed a little. "Sorry, I keep forgetting that everyone doesn't know about me. Yeah, I'm a mutant. I'm still human, but I have an extra gene that makes me...special, you could say. It's the reason why I look like this. I have a lot of lizard-like powers, too, like I'm really agile, and I can stick to stuff. I can do some other stuff, too, if you're really that curious about it."

Agatha, being Agatha, was of course curious aboutit. "You stick to stuff? Liek the walls? Were you designed this way on purpose or were you a spiffy accident?" After she said that she wondered if that was perhaps a totally rude question to ask.

It was a totally rude question to ask, but Victor took it in stride. Agatha had no idea about mutants, and his teachers at Xavier's had taught him to always show humans the best side of the mutant race whenever they had questions. That way, it gave them a good reputation.

So, instead of getting mad, he smiled and backflipped up to the celing to demonstrate. He landed on his feet and began to walk around. "This is what I mean by sticking to stuff. Also," he said, whipping out his tongue and using it to grab a wrench from across the room to place in his hand," I can do that. And last, but not least, I can blend into things to turn invisible." He demonstrated by laying down on the celing and shifting until his entire body was the same color and texture. Finally, he unshifted and let himself full back to the ground and handed Agatha her wrench. "This is how God made me. I don't really know any other way."

AGatha watched in amazement. "That is fascinating! Where i am from, noone is like that to begin with, but people make people with all sorts of powers. I once met a man, Boris, he had six arms. He was the best at taking notes for his boss, and highly regarded. But i have never seen anything like what you jsut did. THat is... spectacular." She was clearly amazed and impressed.

"I think i'd rather do all that then turn pink any day." she smiled as she said it. "What you do is useful!"

Now it was Victor's turn to turn pink a little. Or, at least his cheeks were. "Thanks."

He looked at the plans and at Bot and asked, "So, are we okay here? How much will all this cost?"

"We are ok here. Well, i mean i woudl really liek to take your Bot apart, but htat owuld probably damage him, so i won't. Do me a favour? Tell me if he starts doing anything new? He is... developing or something. And the four things will be a *handwavy ammount*, which you cna pay when you pick them up on wednesday."

"Is that okay for him to be developing? I mean, there's not going to be any trouble, is there?"

[ooc: That's a ooc question as well as an in-game one.]

"I am not sure. I have never seen them do anything like this before." Agatha bit her lip and looked at Bot. "It shouldn't cause trouble, but... it might become an ethical issue, if you know what i mean..."

[ooc: good question, it is not covered in canon at all. they are aware there,but not hugely and as non-main characters, itis nto discussed. i am assuming it is fine. it is never goign to be human,more like the intelegence of a very smart puppy.]

"What do you mean, and ethical issue?" Victor was beginning to get a little worried. He'd gotten attached to his "mini-Alfred", and didn't want to have to give him up.

[ooc Yeah, that's what I was going for. I thought you had mentioned before that they each developed a personality, so that's why I've been having him do stuff like chase after paper balls. Really basic stuff like that.]

"Well, if he get really smart and really aware, he can become like a person, and it's unethical to keep people as things or pets." She paused. "But i don't think it will get that smart, more like a cat or a puppy or something." She wasn't goignto mention hwo un-cat like a certain cat she knew was.

[ooc: they do, but more like one likes to fix things one lieks to clean things. thisis way cooler :)]

"Okay, good," Victor sighed, relieved. "So he's kinda becoming a pet now."

Then, an idea came to him. "Hey...I know you're really busy and all, but when you have some spare time could you call me? I think that if Bot's evolving a little, then he should have a better body, too. At least another arm," he added with a slight grimace. "Can you do that without changing what's making him special?"

[ooc: Oops! Well, in this case misinterpretation was a good thing. :)]

"Pretty much , yes." A pet bot, what a thought...

"I am nto sure actually. i can pop the body open and transfer the contents to another body, but it woudl ahve to be attached in. It would be risky, buti _think_ it could be done. Maybe next week, when i am done with Pippi's order and the several others i have..." IT would be a tricky surgical procedure. But.. it would be highly innovative adn new. And exciting.

[ooc: totally. btw, i _think_ she can do the body swap, possibly with minor non-lasting complications. want to? *grin*]

"Well...give me some time to think, okay? Just make room for me in your schedule next week, and call me when you have the time." He scribbled his number (http://anole-x.livejournal.com/397.html) on a piece of paper and handed it to Agatha. "I'll be in here Wednesday morning to pick up the other stuff. Is that cool?"

[ooc: Hehe...that'd be great! I'll run it past the admins just in case, because he'll technically start counting as a pet. I'm sure it'll be fine, though. next week it is! :)]

"That is cool." She put his number with al ltheothers she was collecting and descided she needed a cork board or something.

"I will leave a day free next week, and give you a call wheni know which day it can be, and these will be ready foryou on Wednesday."

"Okay, thanks!" Victor said with a smile. He collected Bot and made his way out the door. "See ya Wednseday!"
