Empire Records and Bidet: [2/28]
Marty opens up the doors to Empire Records for what he hopes is an interesting day.
Of course his day would probably be a lot better if he hadn't accidently put in a Paul Anka CD into the store's stereo system.
It would be even nicer if he hadn't broken the eject button.
[OOC: Except for the morning, expect slowplay]

"Hey you, don't you have library duty today?"

Horrible, horrible bad music. He sincerely hoped Lucas wasn't here to experience this torture.

She passed the bag to him. "I got you ham and cheese and a brownie. They're from Jeff's, so no risk of ABBA. I think."
Re: Lunchtime-ish
"Tsk. Tsk. Shirking your library duties when there is no librarian," Marty teased as he took a bite of the sandwich. "I would report you to the authorities, but because this is such a good sandwich, I'll let it go."

"Can I get some of the tools from the back?"
Re: Lunchtime-ish
"Most of them, anyhow." She licked egg salad off her fingers, then added, "Did I tell you Dean Washburn is supposed to be filling in until they hire someone?"

"Did I hurt your feelings or anything, last night? I probably sounded, like, crabbier than I was."

"But living with somebody who's mad at you still doesn't sound like fun."

Marty moved over a little but is still hovering over Orlin.

He replaces the side panel back on, and the seams appear to melt away.
"Want to see if it works?" Orlin asks the anxious young man who is still blocking the light.

"Have you been there before?," she asked, a little gingerly.

"You do realize that you could have added some more cd's to this, right?" Orlin asked as he removed the offending disc, looking relieved.
Re: Lunchtime-ish
"She just asked if you were coming, when I said I was going. She's not." She frowned. "Her hand was sticking to things. It was yet another bizarre thing."

Re: Lunchtime-ish
She scratched her cheek, thinking. "I've heard Camden Town is pretrty cool, and I want to see a play. How about you?"
[OOC: The mun spent six months in London and is trying very hard not to put her own taste on Angela.]

Re: Lunchtime-ish
She swallowed the last of her sandwich and wadded the wrappers back into the paper bag. "Okay, I should get back to the library before Janet sticks herself to the card catalogue. See you later."
Re: Lunchtime-ish
Re: Lunchtime-ish
She raised her hand in a cheery wave as she left the store.
