Geoff shows up pretty soon after Kiki arrives, so she doesn't have to wait very long.

"Good to see you, my lady," he says, smiling as he sits down. Cash is with him, and curls up underneath the table.

Kiki grins. "Hello! How are you?" she asks politely. As the NPC waitress comes over, Kiki orders a lemonade and a club sandwich.

After ordering a sandwich and a cup of coffee, Geoff turns to Kiki. "Not too bad, I suppose. Honestly? Better than I'd expected. And you?"

"I can't complain," she answers. She laughs. "Well, no, actually, I think I probably could, but it wouldn't do much, now, would it?"

"Complaining almost never does," Geoff agrees, chuckling. "It does sometimes make us feel better, though, which I guess is why we do it."

He takes a sip of the coffee when it arrives and asks, "Do you have plans for the break that's coming up?"

"You know, I haven't even really thought about it," Kiki admits. "I'll probably go visit Mom and Dad. I was home-schooled my whole life, before Fandom - what do people usually do for Spring Break?"

"I have not a clue, Kiki. We don't have Spring Break where I come from, and I was schooled at home and at court myself. But I would suspect that going home to visit your family is a good plan."

"I could use the time off. I've hardly written my parents at all; they probably think I've vanished!"

Kiki takes a bite of her sandwich.

Laughing, Geoff replies, "Well, I would think that if they really thought you'd vanished, they'd show up looking for you."

He starts on his sandwich as well. "So what have you been up to besides classes?"

"Some magical studies," Kiki says, hoping that ~~Geoff~~ Professor Chaucer didn't listen to the radio for this weekend. "Phoebe and I have been working on developing our divination skills."

Luckily for Kiki, Geoff doesn't own a radio. "That's sounds intriguing. What method are you using?"

"I use a few methods - I can read tarot cards and runes. Phoebe has something called a Spirit Board, which we were trying out Friday night. It's sort of like a palette that uses magical energy to move over a printed board to spell out answers to your questions."

Geoff nods, looking interested. "Are you divining for anything in particular, or just practicing?"

[ooc: My other character is having FITS in my head right now! *g*]

"Er...," Kiki says, fiddling with the straw in her lemonade and staring into it's lemon-y depths for a moment before answering. "We were actually trying to see if we could determine if, um, there was a connection between each of us getting attacked. Or, y'know, the answers to our finals. Whichever would be easier." Kiki turns a few shades towards crimson.

[ooc: *whistles innocently* Crowley was right next door...]

Geoff raises his eyebrows. "I knew that you and Phoebe had both had some... problems. Do you really think they're related?"

He grins to offset the serious tone of the conversation. "And did you get the answers to the test?"

"We actually didn't get to that one," Kiki replies, a little chagrinned. "We had our hands full working on the first task. Which didn't conclude exactly in the most satisfactory result."

Chuckling, Geoff replies, "You should have started with the test answer. Probably would have been of more use to you."

He gets up from the table for a minute and returns with two pieces of chocolate cake, one of which he sets in front of Kiki. "Someone told me once that chocolate is a good treatment for your troubles. Are you going to be all right? I mean, you haven't been threatened or...attacked again, have you?"

"Oh, thank you!" Kiki smiles. "We should be okay, I think. We'll get to the bottom of it somehow, I'm sure. Neither of us have been threatened since our experiences, but we're still on our guards. Wow, this is really incredible cake," she marvels as she tastes it.

"As long as you're careful, Kiki. There's far too much of that going on here. People getting threatened or attacked for no reason, or none that they can figure out. This is a dangerous town, much more so than people realize."

He smiles at Kiki's reaction to the cake, and takes a forkful of his own. "I know it's a few months off, but have you given any thought to how you'll spend your summer?"

"I'll probably go home, for some while, anyway, and study more with my Mom and her coven. Other than that..." Kiki shakes her head with a smile and a shrug. "Sky's the limit, I suppose - or at least, as high as my broom will take me."

Geoff grins. "Maybe we'll run into each other. While you're on your travels. You never know."

He wants to believe that it might be true...Angela had said the same, that they might see each other again. So he decides not to dismiss the idea. After all, if Fandom is possible, anything is.

"I hope so," Kiki replies sincerely. "Do you know yet where you're going?"

Taking a deep breath and looking at his coffee, Geoff nods. "I...want to try and get to a city called Tropolis. That's where Greg-- Dr. House, said he was going. Failing that...back to London."

"Tropolis," Kiki repeats. "That's where Mr. Aziraphale and Dr. Wilson went, too, I think."

Geoff's eyes narrow a little at the mention of Dr. Wilson, but he just nods. "Yes. That's why Greg went there."

And that's all he's going to say about the matter, so he changes the subject slightly. "It'll be interesting to see if there've been many changes to London while I've been gone."

Kiki gets a bit of a vibe regarding Chaucer, House and Wilson, and wishes she hadn't said anything. "It would be," she agrees, leaping onto the subject change. "Probably a few, I imagine."

"Probably," Geoff agrees, grateful that Kiki isn't pushing him on the other subject. He leans down and absently scratching Cash's head where the dog lies under the table.

"But I'm pretty sure the Tower is still there, since Angela mentioned it this morning. And I think she mentioned the market too. But I'll bet it looks a lot more like Baltimore than it does like Fandom. Which would be a pretty big change."

"I bet!" Kiki says. She glances at the clock on the wall. "What time do you need to be back for your office hours? I don't want to make you late!"

Geoff pulls out a pocket watch and checks it. "I probably should be getting back. I think I have a couple of students who'll be stopping in for study sessions today," he says, grinning.

"Thank you for having lunch with me today, Kiki. I really enjoyed it."

"Me, too. Thank you," she grins. "And I'll be by this afternoon - I need to stop and pick up my books. I think I might have left them in the TA lounge yesterday."

"Then I'll see you a little later."

Geoff stands and then leans over and quickly gives Kiki a light ~~and completely chaste OMG!~~ kiss on the cheek. "And don't think for a minute that just because this is my last day teaching, you kids are going to get out of having a writing assigment for poetry today."

He pats his leg and Cash slips out from under the table, nuzzling Kiki's hand before moving to follow Geoff as he leaves.

Kiki looks entirely too pleased about the ~~OMG chaste kiss!~~ writing assignment, and pats Cash on the head as she watches Chaucer leave, her chin on her palm.
