Near Blood Gulch Arms - late Wednesday night

Sam had received a phone call from the SGC stating that they were ready to pick up the sarcophagus with Camulus inside. They had a rendezvous time and place - the causeway - and now all they had to do was pick up the package from Blood Gulch Arms and get it to where it needed to go. Now Sam was waiting back at the school in case they tried to reach them again and as back-up in case anything went wrong.

Kawalsky knocked on the door.

[OOC: Locked to Tex, Cameron, Molly, Camulus and Orlin. Events inside Blood Gulch Arms are, as always, NFB.]

"Appo, if you have one more..." Tex swung open the door and looked down at Kawalsky and his little group. Deja vu. "About time. I think I heard it moan the other day."

Tex nodded and pulled back, not waiting to see if they were following she moved to the armoured door and muttered the cursepassword.

"Knock yourselves out," she motioned to where the sarcophagus was still lying upside down.

Without saying anything, Molly went in and picked up the sarcophagus, not taking any care as to which side was up. She waited for the other to make sure the coast was clear before following them back outside.

With Kawalsky taking point, Cameron fell into step behind Molly and scanned they crossed street and headed across Phoenix Place. If they stuck to the small paths leading from Efferton Manor to Serenity Cove, they should remain fairly hidden. Even if they were lugging around a huge golden sarcophagus. Well, Molly was anyway.

"I'm good," Molly said easily. At least this time, the trip was shorter. They'd gotten the sarcophagus most of the way to its final destination last time, so she wasn't worried about getting worn out tonight.

The large, gold box was easily two to three times Molly's size, so she was paying careful attention to how it wass balanced and anything around it that could jar it. She neglected, however, to watch her footing as closely as she probably should have. Her toes caught on something on the uneven ground and she tripped.

With a quiet, "oh, frell!" she tossed the box to the side so that she wouldn't hit Charlie and fell to the ground. There was a large 'CRACK' as the sarcophagus hit the ground.

Cameron stood frozen for a moment as he watched the sarcophagus slowly open. "Joseph. Mary," he cursed and quickly grabbed hold of Molly, pulling her with him into the safety of some brushes beside the road.

One moment Camulus was entering suspended animation, and the next everything was flickered and his sarcophagus . . . crashed. Literally. He was now in a slowly opening really big gold box rather than a sophisticated piece of technology. With a growl, he pushed his way out. And stopped. Why was his sarcophagus on a street? And why was there a very large crack in said sarcophagus? Only one thing came to mind.

He clenched his hands, threw back his head, and roared, "Orlin!"

[identity profile] ascended-being.livejournal.com 2006-03-09 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
Orlin had built a sarcophagus tracker, maybe if he could locate the sarcophagus, he'd find Camulus.

He had been tracking it being moved towards the Causeway, when all of the sudden, he heard a very familiar bellow.

He dropped the tracker and went sprinting up the street. He saw Camulus and threw himself at him.

"You're back!"

[identity profile] godinakilt.livejournal.com 2006-03-09 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
Camulus caught the other man and pried him off, holding him out at armslength, looking even grumpier than usual. "Back? From what? Orlin . . ." he growled warningly.

[identity profile] ascended-being.livejournal.com 2006-03-09 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
"You've been missing for three weeks..." Orlin said, allowing himself to be held at an arms lenght, for the moment. "I've been sooo worried."

[identity profile] godinakilt.livejournal.com 2006-03-09 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
"Three weeks? Orlin, I have no time for your games." He released Orlin to gesture at the sarcophagus, which was looking a bit less shiny and was now sporting a very large crack. "What did you do to my sarcophagus?"

[identity profile] ascended-being.livejournal.com 2006-03-09 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
"That wasn't me! I swear, it's like March 7th, see?" He held out his armto display the watch, date and time clearly displayed.

"Its spring break."

And then he jumped on Camulus again, because he was so happy to see his lover neighbor again.

[identity profile] godinakilt.livejournal.com 2006-03-09 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
Camulus made a half-hearted attempt to dislodge Orlin, more intent on grabbing his arm and peering at the watch, his eyes narrowing. "I went into my sarcophagus almost three weeks ago and you didn't try and find me?"

[identity profile] ascended-being.livejournal.com 2006-03-09 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
"I did too!" Orlin protested, snuggling closer.

"Although at first I wasn't here, and then we thought you might be sulk,er , traveling, and then I built a sarcophagus tracer, which is why I was close by when you started to bellow."

[identity profile] godinakilt.livejournal.com 2006-03-09 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
"Would you get off?" Camulus growled, turning to face Orlin and completely missing the shadowy figures making their escape. "If you didn't break it, then who did?"

He was still sure Orlin had orchestrated the whole thing. And he didn't quite trust him about this whole 'three weeks' thing.

[identity profile] ascended-being.livejournal.com 2006-03-09 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Orlin pouted.

"Fine, be grouchy, I'll just leave you here with that big old box. I should probably go patch up with Clay since I basically broke up with her for you."

He turned to leave.

[identity profile] godinakilt.livejournal.com 2006-03-09 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
Camulus reached out and grabbed Orlin by the arm, jerking him back towards him. "You did? Now I know you're playing games, Orlin. Help me get this thing back to the apartment building." He smirked. "And then maybe I'll test your decision on the issue of the lovely Miss Clay."

[identity profile] ascended-being.livejournal.com 2006-03-09 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
"You promise?" There was definately a wicked smile on his face, and he was definately invading Camulus' space, again. Well face space anyways.

[identity profile] godinakilt.livejournal.com 2006-03-09 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm. Orlin wouldn't be acting like this unless he actually was a free agent at the moment. Camulus's eyes narrowed. "You . . . are telling me the truth," he said slowly. "I've been gone for three weeks." He didn't mention Clay.

[identity profile] ascended-being.livejournal.com 2006-03-09 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
His head tilted to the side, wicked smile in place, "Of course I have."

[identity profile] godinakilt.livejournal.com 2006-03-09 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
Rattled. That would be the best way to describe Camulus's state of mind at the moment. Definitely rattled. He backed a step away from Orlin, not trusting himself at the moment. "Help me," he said shortly, moving over to the sarcophagus. With the willing and slightly overenthusiastic help of Orlin, they somehow handwavily managed to get the sarcophagus back to the apartment building.
