The Perk, lunch time

Isabel's at the corner table in the Perk, finishing the letter to Maria she started yesterday in HIstory of Art. Every once in a while she looks up and grumbles at the rain OMGWTFSNOW? outside the window. It's going to be a wet walk back to Western Civ.

Jake shuffled in, carrying a copy of the paper. Strangely, he seemed mostlly focused on the last page.

Chloe came into the Perk for the next batch of her daily fix, and grinned when she spotted Jake. "Hey," she said. "What's up?"

Jake looked up, beaming at her. "Coffee, yay!"

"I should have known that would be the answer I'd get." Chloe snickered and went up to the counter to put her order in before going back to Jake's table. "So how are you? I feel like we don't get to talk as much now as we did last semester."

Jake put the newspaper aside, and grinned. "Sundays yay?"

"Oh yes, Sundays are very much yay." Chloe laughed.

"Other than that, not much going on." Jake rested his elbow on the table as he pondered. "Don't currently have a vendetta going towards anyone, Krycek hasn't smothered me in my own dirty clothes yet and -- Oh, hey! Want to come shopping for a sofa?"

"Wow, no grudges? Your days must feel so empty," Chloe teases. "And you ask that like I would ever turn down an opportunity for shopping. What are you getting a sofa for?"

Jake made a face. "Krycek doesn't like me eating in bed." He brightened. "But we're getting a tv-bench too! For better gaming."

Isabel stopped by the table as she started back to class. "Hi Jake! And Chloe, right? I don't think we've ever really been introduced."

"Hiyah Isabel." Jake tilted his head at her. They'd sort of bonded over being possibly hunted and killed by the government so maybe... "Would you want to come to Isle of IKEA with us? Not sure when yet, though."

"There's an Isle of IKEA?" Isabel asked. "Sure, that's got to be worth a trip. What you you looking for?"

"A sofa, apparently, so Jake's boyfriend doesn't kill him for making a mess in bed. And there's a joke there that I'm not making." Chloe grinned. "The more the merrier though, I'd say."

Isabel laughed, "I can only imagine that joke. And I appreciate the invitation."

"Coolness. I'll leave you a voicemail or email you or, you know, something once I know the when." Jake grinned up at her. "Should be fun. Last time I got hypnotic vases."

"Hypnotic vases? I'm sure there's a story there. But it'll have to wait till next time." She looked at her watch, "I've got to get to Western Civ. But definitely give me a call. I'd love to go. It was nice finally meeting you Chloe," she smiled as she started towards the door.

Chloe smiled and gave Isabel a little wave. "It was nice meeting you too!"
