The Perk, lunch time
Isabel is back in the Perk again today, this time to meet Molly for lunch. She's a little early so she sitting at a table sipping a mocha and studying important court cases.
[ooc: Here for lunch with
bruiser_in_pink but anyone else is welcome to say hi. Be warned, due to RL stuff it's going to be slow until this evening. And as always, open for all your other Perk needs.]

"Bel's a nice guy. I know a lot of people don't trust him. And they have good reason not to I guess. But he's always been nice to me," she said. "He's trying to change, to be good. I have to respect that. Plus he called an offered to kick the ass of anyone that gave me a hard time about the alien stuff. So I'm grateful for that even if I haven't needed him to."

Molly smiled. "Also, if anybody does give you a hard time and Bel isn't around, I am also willing to kick some ass if needed."

She thought for a moment about Karolina and how she had found out she was an alien. "Did you guys always know you were aliens?" she asked without thinking. "If you don't mind my asking," she added quickly when she realized what she had asked.
no subject
"I don't mind, I'd be curious to. I am curious as a matter of fact. We don't have mutants in my world. So we can trade questions," she said with a grin. "We always knew we were different. And once we learned about the crash, well, it was pretty obvious what we were. How about you? When did you find you about your powers?"
no subject
"I was eleven. I'd been feeling weird for a while, but I found out it was because I was a mutant the night my friends came to rescue me from my parents house. I got mad and knocked someone through the wall."

"We stopped our parents and became wards of the state. Except for Chase who was eighteen. After a couple of months though, the rest of us ran away again so that we could fight all the bad guys that showed up after our parents weren't in control anymore."

"Your turn now, what do you want to ask me?"

She tilted her head and looked at Isabel. "Karolina is an alien too. She can fly and glows like a rainbow when she takes off the bracelet that suppresses her powers. Do you or Michael or Max glow like a rainbow?"
no subject
"No, no glowing or flying," Isabel said with a laugh. "Although flying would be cool. We can control our powers so there's no need to suppress them. Michael has turned a few lovely shades of red though. Mostly when he's annoyed with his girlfriend."

"I'm sorry, Isabel," she said quietly.
I'm sorry something I said caused you pain. I'm sorry you were betrayed by someone you thought you could trust. I'm sorry there is nothing I can do to help you get back to save your people.
"I hope you can get there to save them."

Idly she played with the stirrer in her mocha. "I'm sure we'll get there one day. Max is pretty determined. He's the king after all. I'm pretty sure saving your people is in the job description."
"How about you? What are your plans for the future?"

Time passed, sandwiches were finished and Molly and Isabel had a nice, long emo-free conversation.
