The Park, Friday around lunch time
Nadia got to the park a little bit earlier than she had agreed to with Walter that morning, and perched on one of the benches, her knees pulled up to her chest, where she could watch the ducks and run on her sentences.
The bench was still wet from the morning's rain, but she didn't much seem to care.
[ooc: open for all your park and/or yelling at the idiot misery-chick needs!]

He found Nadia and set the bag down between them as he settled on the bench. "I'm glad to see the ducks didn't eat you."

"The bunnies made concentrating on fractals rather difficult," Walter said
while the mun made a mental note to have bunnies in class when it was posted. He started pulling food out of the bag, determined to get Nadia to eat by example if nothing else. "Anything interesting going on? I missed the radio last night and didn't bother with the rebroadcast this morning."

"Are you going to go there and start blaming yourself for what happened again?" He eyed her sternly. "Not that I understand what happened to either of them, but you can't blame yourself for every bad thing that happens on this island."

not unlike the way a tiny bunny might do soand considering tossing bits of it to the ducks when Walter wasn't looking.Yeah, like that was going to happen. He had his whole "I'm a butler, I watch everything" thing.

"I'd probably be blaming myself, too. And someone smarter than me would be telling me I was stupid, that I can't protect everyone all the time. Right?"

"But that's not the point, which is that none of us can be everywhere at once. Not even Alfred, although I swear he comes close."

That was the second time in two days that he'd brought his ex up. And last time, it was after she'd talked about the monster-her from her dreams.
What the hell kind of person had he been with?
She nodded slowly as Walter went on, though. "I think maybe Alfred is one of a kind."

"I think you're right." He shrugged and remembered what Alfred had said about the Ruler. "But someone taught him once."
He nudged her with an elbow and looked at her barely
-weetinybunny-nibbled sandwich."I talked to Alphonse before I came down. If you need someplace to go to get away from people asking you questions or yelling at you, you can stay in our room. He promised he wouldn't bother you, and I have other places I can stay."

He tilts his head critically at the work so far. "Needs a bit of pink, maybe?" he asks.
