J,GoB, Saturday morning

Giles had finally heard from Faith--and Buffy--late last night.

And they had been all wonderment why he had been worried.

What was the phrase the students were using? Oh, yes.

*facepalm*

The...interestingly dressed clerk--yes, that did seem to be eyeliner he was wearing--produced a better than passable pot of tea and some sticky buns. Giles nursed both in a corner as he pondered the complete insanity of mentoring, as Principal Flutie would have said, "special needs students."

[ooc: Giles is here for a good b*tch session with someone, but J,GoB is now open for all your pastry and transvestite needs.]

Sam walked into the bakery, sweaty and dripping from a morning run through town. After all, what was the point of exercising if you couldn't celebrate the end of it with baked goods.

She nodded to the other man in the bakery, then began to ponder the pastry case. And blinked at the guy behind the counter. Well, then.

early afternoon

Isabel was on a mission. A mission which could only be completed at JGOB's. Five minutes after arriving, she left, a small bakery box in her hand. Mission completed.

Obi-Wan was on his own this morning, so after a little time meditating quietly by the duck pond, he wandered through the town until he spotted the little bakery. With a little fumbling - both with the Earth money Anakin had exchanged for him and with remembering what kaf was called here - he managed to procure a cup of something hot, dark, and caffinated, which was really all he needed.

He took a seat at a small empty table, nodding companionably to the other gentleman seated not far away.

"Very pleasant," Obi-Wan replied. "I'm supposed to meet up with my student later this afternoon, and was wondering what I was going to do until then, but I think with enough of this," he gestured with his cup, "and the good weather outside, I'll be all set."

"Excuse me, I'm only visiting for the weekend. Are you a teacher up at the school?"

"A teacher's work is never done," Obi-Wan agreed, thinking both of Anakin and his relationship with Qui-Gon right before the end. "You think you can't possibly come up with any more wise sayings or useful advice, and yet when you turn around it seems they still need you."

Obi-Wan thought of his many happy hours in the archives. "Although a book store sounds like quite the ideal way to retire between crises."
