Jeff, God of Biscuits, Wednesday morning
Walter almost missed the Swedish Chef. At least someone cooked regular meals on campus during the semester. With time on his hands and not much else to do, he wandered into town to stop at J,GoB for some coffee yes, all those Americans had infected him and some pastries to bring back to the dorms for his friends.
He grabbed a mocha and took a seat near the front window to people watch, or, as Alfred commanded, to observe. For instance, the remarkable number of metal bits J,GoB's clerk had in his face.
[ooc: Open for all your coffee and pastry needs. New people, mod the clerk behind the counter to give you what you need. Or not.]

Pastries suddenly sounded delightful.

"Did you meet anyone interesting yesterday?"

"You mean other than the weiner guy? Yeah, there was this girl named Z who seemed pretty cool . . . especially if I can convince her to go shopping with me. And my roommate can make copies of himself."

Abby stopped and folded her hands in her lap. "Sorry, I babble a lot. Let's try that again. Good morning, I'm Abby, Abby Sciuto."

Sitting back down, he said, "I'm a student at the school, this is tea, and I am British. But I'm a Londoner, not Scots. How are you finding Fandom so far?"
no subject
"Fandom?" Abby looked around. "So far Fandom seems a lot like a donut shop. Honestly, I've just arrived and haven't really see much of the island. How about you?"
no subject
"So far, Fandom isn't quite the summer camp experience I was expecting. I've been hearing tales of zombies and snowmonsters, gremlins and psychotic vampires. Plus? I've never gone to school with girls before so...it's an interesting experience." He smiled sheepishly.
no subject
"Really?" Abby smiled. "I think people might be pulling your leg there, Pete. A whole 'goof on the newbies' sort of thing."

She hadn't been aware that she'd have to buy a good portion of her own meals. And, transferring British Pounds into American Dollars had diminished her already scant savings.
She sighed and ordered tea and toast. She could easily have demolished a full English, but it looked like she'd have to be frugal. Or get a job. More than likely, both.

She smiled, and went over to sit down, determined to forget her worries for at least the duration of a meal.
"Morning," she said, taking a seat.

"I am new here. I take it you are too? What brings you to Fandom?"

pained that no one wanted to sign up for her workshop, woehaving gone to the bookstore determined a need for breakfast.A cup of tea in hand and a chocolate chip muffin in front of her, she positioned herself at a table such as to see the most people and acted friendly. She wanted to meet the new students after all.
