The park, Thursday afternoon

Once again, sleeping all day had given Jude lots and lots of excess energy. Almost none of which had been expended packing for his weekend. So here he was in the park, amusing himself by working on his kickflip in between rocketing around the park at unsafe speeds.

[[Park is open (admittedly, a wee bit late) for all your park-y needs.]]

Clark rather liked the park. It was small, it was quiet, and it had ducks. And also kids on skateboards. He waved to Jude.

Clark watched, impresed with the boy's skill. "That's very impressive." he said.

Clark chuckled as well. "You can call me Clark." he said. "So how long have you been," he didn't know the word, so he pointed to the skateboard, hoping the boy would understand.

Clark hesitated. It seemed childish what he wanted to ask, and yet, there were somethings you miss out on living on a farm out in Kansas. "could I give it a try?"

"Well," Clark said, pushing his glasses back up his nose. "Let's hope not." he stepped gingerly onto the board, one foot on the ground. He moved it back and forth for a moment, getting a feel for the movement. then he stepped fully onto the skateboard.

Which promptly flew out from under him, sending him into his rear on the pavement. "Ow."

Clark accepted the help, regaining what he could of his dignity. "Not as easy as it looks." he said.

Camcorder in hand and whirring gently, Sakurazaki has been flitting from spot to spot, getting weird shots of pretty flowers, cool rocks, and interesting shadow groupings.

Currently, her lens is fascinated by an ant carrying a crumb of bread across a sidewalk.

One would think she'd be better at this voice recognition thing by now. Or at least the name thing. But Sakurazaki lifts her head not knowing who to expect, and then nearly drops the camera out of some unfathomed surprise. "Oh! Jude! Hello." She smiles, looking up at him, but keeping the shot on the ant...it hasn't been moving very quickly anyway, so she's not messing up the shot by needing to follow it.

"Oh, not at all." Sakurazaki turns off the camcorder to prove that she means it. "I was just getting some random shots, anyway." She stands, brushing off her skirt slightly. "At this point, my documentary is going to seem rather art house film...-y..." She frowns slightly at that last word; that can't possibly be a proper English description.

"It's not," she replied, still frowning slightly. "Not technically. I still don't know what I want to do it on. But we still have, what? Six more weeks left? I'm sure that's plenty of time."

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2006-05-26 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
"I've been well," she said, but her eyes slide away from him quickly. "Okay, maybe not so well. I don't know..." She shrugs one shoulder, one eyelid sliding closed again. "Still having some adjustment problems. Got in a big fight with Ranma-san...I think I might kind of disappear over the weekend. My chi needs some major attention lately."

Both eyes close now, and she's drawing in deep breaths, a sure sign that she's doing what she can to keep from getting mad again. One might fear for her camera with her clenching fist. Long and slow, she releases her sigh.

"Yes, I'm fine. We just...he just...well, I need to... Ugh! Difference of opinion. I'll just leave it at that."
