"It was fantastic, Kurt." Elle said softly. She let go of him and took a step back, then sat down hard on the beach. "Wow, it really gives you the spins, huh?"

"Ja, it takes some getting used to." Kurt touched her hair. "But I was trying to be gentle with you, knowing it was your first time."

He realized how that sounded.

"Your first time teleporting," He said quickly.

"Well, duh. We don't do it much where I'm from. Call me old fashioned." she said with a little laugh before falling back to look straight up at the growing darkness. "Lay down, Kurt. I think I rode you pretty hard there all day."

Elle did not realize that it sounded like anything other than what she meant.

Kurt joined her on the ground, taking his trenchcoat off to roll up for a makeshift pillow for her. He gallantly held it out with his tail.

"Ja, you must have. My tail is nearly limp, and sore."

Kurt realized how that sounded, and wanted to crawl in a hole.

"Oh no! I'm so sorry! Do you want me to rub it and make it feel better?" she asked innocently as she took the coat and adjusted it under her head. "I swear I won't ask you to keep it up all day for me again. Maybe just a once or twice thing, ok?"

"Ah lieblen, for you I would keep it up as long and as often as you wanted."

Apparently Kurt liked the taste of his feet, since he kept sticking them in his mouth.

"You're so nice, Kurt. Most guys get sick of me after a little while. I think maybe I'm too vocal. It's all about the mouth, you know?" she asked as she rolled onto her side to look at him. "I'd really hate to take advantage of you...even if you offered it up on a plate."

"Ah, but zhat would be okay. I would have no problem doing it as often as you liked. Maybe even more, eh?"

"Und I could never get sick of you. Zhere is nothing wrong with being vocal. Not many people use their oral skills quite zhe same as you, but I'm sure that you have a mastery of it, ja."

"Oh, totally. I've got a super bunch of mouth skills. Like, I can talk, and I'm all about defense, and ooh! I can' even do tricks! Watch this." she said, rolling her tongue and holding it with her lips. "Cool, huh? That's the trick I won my first pageant with. I swear, my mom says if I paid more attention to the importance of the oral activities, I could be on top 100% of the time."

"Well, we would make great partners then. You haff your oral skills. I have a tail, stamina, and am very flexible. Und? I can last you riding me all day and night."

Kurt gave up. No matter what he said? Yeah. It was like that.

"Yeah, I don't know if I could really keep up with you, Kurt. I got kind of faint there for a bit. I'd feel so bad if you had to keep it up all on your own, with me just along for the ride. Doesn't it make it harder if I can't even hang on for half of what you can do?" she asked sweetly.

Kurt shook his head. "Nein, I can show restraint if you need a breather. Next time tell me, und we can just wait until you are ready again. We don't always have to do it."

"Oh, I know, Kurt. I hope you don't feel like I only want one thing from you. Getting a ride if fun and all, but I know you've got all kinds of tricks. Plus you're smart and you always come just when I need you to most. How do you do that?" she asked with guile or innuendo.

"Must be fate," He shrugged. "Maybe we haff that connection. That inexplicable something that causes two people to anticipate and react almost unconsciously."

He looked at her. "Und anytime you need me to come, all you haff to do is ask me."

She smiled sweetly, closing her eyes. "You know what I want right now, Kurt? Or do I have to ask?"

"Maybe I need to hear it," Kurt replied leaning up on one arm as he rolled over on his side facing her.

"I want you to tell me what you really thought of today. Did you have fun? Did you think it was as beautiful and as exciting as I did?" she asked softly, looking from him to the stars and back.

Kurt nodded emphatically. "Ja, I'm used to bamfing around, but it's nice to bamf with another person." He smiled. "Especially one who carries the light within her, und is as pretty as you."

"Have you ever bamfed anyone else, Kurt? You seem pretty comfortable with it."

"Ja," He said in a near whisper. "I have, with two ozher women."

He tilted his head. "I hope zhat doesn't bother you."

"Why would it? It's your gift. Share it with who you like. Can't you bamf guys too? Or is that too weird?"

"I've never really tried," Kurt shrugged. "I'm sure it would be different, but I don't know. It might be very weird."

"I'd think boys would be easier than girls, even. More willing to be adventurous and try something exciting and new." she said, rolling to face him. "Thank you for today, Kurt. I'm tired out, but I've never had so much fun with just one guy."

"Und would you like a lift home?" Kurt sat up and offered his hand. "Allow this roguish beast to see you safely there?"

"I don't think I could possibly bamf one more time today, Kurt...even if you can. How about we do it my way, just this once?" she asked, taking his hand and brushing the sand off of herself once she was upright.

Kurt grinned as he helped her to her feet.

"Ja, I am willing to try it your way," He smiled broadly. "I could use the rest, lieblen." He admitted.

Giggling softly, she took his arm and wrapped her own around it. "Come on, Kurt. You're really a nice guy to walk me home after all I put you through today. I hope you don't feel used."

"Nein, I don't feel used, lieblen." Kurt said as they walked. "I feel refreshed in your presence."

"Oh, good. I hope you kind of got my point from this morning. You just can't let the world pass you by if you want to see the beauty and wonder of it all. You've got to snatch it up. Isn't that a great word? Snatch?"

Kurt blinked as he looked at her.

"I don't zhink I know that one." He replied.

"You don't know snatch?"

She stopped and stared at him, blinking slowly. "Snatch. It's like...Hmm. It's got to be a verb. I think. We could look it up."

She started again, slower this time as she was lost in thought. Almost to the path to her backdoor, she looked at him. "I think it's like grab or catch. But really, snatch, we ought to look into it. I rock the research and reading and stuff."

"If you want to, I am fine with looking into snatch."

Kurt really how no idea how bad that sounded as he was entering her backdoor.

Bruiser came ticking along the kitchen floor and Elle scooped him up. "We need the dictionary, Bruiser. It's time to put all those things I learned college to use." she said in a cute, baby-talk voice.

"All my books are in my room, Kurt. Why don't you wait here and I'll be back. How cool is this? You're showing me your language and I'm showing you mine!" she chirped happily as she bounded up the stairs.

"Ja, it is...wunderbol." Kurt replied as he sat on the couch and looked around the room.

"Wunderbol," He repeated with a smile.

Moments later, Elle was back with two thick books. "This one is the OED and this one is Webster's. Dictionaries are your friend, Kurt."

She gave him one and began flipping through the other. When she found the word and read through all the definitions, her expression froze.

"Oh." she said quietly. "Yeah. To grab or sieze. Yep. That's all it means. (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=snatch)

"I know zhey are my freund. I'm a librarian after all," He grinned as he flipped through book. Stopping at the word he started to read aloud...and stopped.

"Ja, zhats all it means," He was grateful not to blush.

She looked at him, absolutely stunned for a whole minute. The her lips began to twitch and curve and before she knew it, she was laughing and gasping.

"I'm so sorry, Kurt. English is..." gasp, wheeze, giggle, "English is a great language."

Kurt had no choice but to nod in agreement.

"Ja, it definitely is that," He let loose with a body shaking series of laughs, his tail twitching uncontrollably.
