Special patrol - Saturday night
Even if the fights had been on the other side of the island where patrols were light, the fire on the rocky bits had been hard to miss and trooper CC-1187 was order to take a patrol in to check things out. When five minutes later CC-1172 reported similar sightings going on in the woods, Commander Appo sent reinforcements to catch up with the first patrol and sent a good chunk of his troops into the woods. Of course, by the time they got there the mummies had been beaten and there was nothing left except some charcoaled remains for the troopers to kick at. If anyone would tap into the troopers’ wavelength, they’d hear the following conversation.
“Oh man, I can’t believe we’ve missed another fight,” trooper CC-1196 complained as he kicked at an empty can of lighter fluid.
“Yeah, you’d think that after the whole snow monster thing they’d actually trust us enough to let us help them,” trooper CC-1182 - who some might know better as the trooper who got mocked during the snow monster invasion – replied.
“They just want to have all the fun themselves. Meanwhile, we get to deal with pocket thieves and domestic disputes,” the trooper Lieutenant sighed.
“That’s not the worst part,” another trooper piped up. “Did they even think to ask for Mister Wonka’s approval with the chocolate pudding rain?”
This was followed with a lot of mumbling in agreement. Some things just went too far.
