Mainland: Tailor Shop: Tuesday Late Afternoon/Early evening.

Bel shimmered himself and Pippi to the mainland near the Tailor Shop she found in the phone book. They came around the front where she opened the door for Bel to duck in.

Pippi was very pleased at being able to sneak off the island so easily. Demon friends have their privileges.

"Come on in! Nobody's around but us and the tailors. There's nothing to be embarrassed about. I called ahead and they said they had a bunch of stuff from Casual Male that they can alter for you... They also think you're going for the 'World's Most Tatoo'ed Man' title."

She missed the end of the Brazil-Croatia match to bring Bel to the tailors and get him some swanky clothing that would fit his demon form. But that was okay, because friendship is more important then the FIFA World Cup or even watching a crumpled up napkin in the corner.

Bel sighed. Might as well make the best of it. "Basic black is fine with me," he grumbled.

"Okay, first fashion tip is to turn that frown upside down Mister."

She poked him in the side. She poked him much harder then she normally would have, because he was a demon at the moment, but only hard enough to possibly tickle. Because when you're super strong you can totally tickle big scary demons like that.

In another canon world, Bel would be horrified and embarrassed to learn that Phoebe had edited his entry in the Book of Shadows to include "ticklish." Because, in fact, he was. Even in demon form. "Stop that!" he said, squirming, trying to bat Pippi's hand away.

"Then smile." she said with a grin and poking at the air near him.

"Oh my." a soft elderly voice said behind them. "He is a big one isn't he girls?"

Bel turned around, trying not to growl too much. "How big do your sizes go?" he said.

Standing together in a small cluster are three very short gray haired women. One is dressed all in blue, one is dressed all in green, and the third is dressed all in pink.

"Oh quite large my boy." said the one in green. "Quite large indeed. We shouldn't have any trouble fitting you I'm sure."

"Oh yes." says the one in Blue. "No trouble at all." says the one in pink.

"That's good." Pippi nodded. "He mostly want's black but I think a bit of white would be okay. As you see, he brings his own color."

"Something comfortable," Bel said as non-growly as he could. "Something I can move in."

"... Something that says," Pippi interjected, ""I'm not here to kill and eat you.'"

The three women exploded into action and fluttered about the shop. The ones in green and blue pulled out racks of clothes and rummaged through shelves and drawers while the one in pink took Bel's measurements.

"Watch the hands!" Bel yelped as the pink woman measured his inseam.

The pink woman is a proper lady and doesn't not mutter an observation about how Bel must be 'very popular'. "Would you like to take your own girth measurement then dearie?" she asks pleasantly.

Pippi, in the meantime, has taken to helping the other two biddies with their racks and such.

"I've seen him wear a kimono before, but I don't really think it's a look he wants to go for."

"That was just for the wedding," Bel said. "I don't want to dress like that all the time." He put his arms across his chest and glowered.

"Here, are these sufficiently colorless for you your grumpness?"

Bel looked at the t-shirts. "Leaky Tiki? Do they have to say something on them?" He did like the hoodie, though.

"I told you he wouldn't like that one." Pippi said to the blue lady.

"We have solids as well dearie." said the green lady offering a pile of black, white, and gray shirts. "But your friend here gave us the impression that you were trying to look more friendly. So we thought you'd like something with a light mood."

"Well, if I'm stuck looking like this, I guess I'd want to soften my look," Bel said grudgingly.

"That's the spirit!" Pippi cheered.

In the meantime, the three seamstresses started fluttering madly about Bel with various pieces of a suit. Did he want black or charcoal? Would he be needing a coat? Tie or no tie? And so on.

"Black," Bel grumbled. "No tie. Do I really need a coat? How much is this going to cost, anyway?" He fought to keep from squirming.

The green lady mentally tallied up everything he said he liked and gave him a general *handwavy* price. All this time Pippi tried not to laugh at the sight of these tiny women turning big huge Bel this way and that.

Wouldn't want to catch a cold now would you? To the left or to the right? Long or short? How does that feel? And whatever does one get from being The World's Most Tatoo'ed man anyway?

"Left. Long. Okay," Bel said. "I, umm, I do ads in tattoo magazines." He looked helplessly at Pippi.

Pippi smiles at Bel and gives him a thumbs up and mouths the words "Doing great Champ!"

The blur of chatter, color, tape measures, and thread continues for a few more moments. When the dust clears Bel is standing there an incredibly well dressed demon.

"Not to tight across the shoulders dearie?" All three women as in unison.

Bel admired himself in the mirror, turning around and looking at himself from all angles. "Huh. Not too bad," he said, smiling as much as the scary teeth allowed.

Pippi whistles at him as he turns.

"Very nice!" she said, "See? You feel better all ready ya?"

"Better," Bel admitted. "Thanks, Pippi. I mean that."

"You're welcome, it was fun for me too!" she said. "Next time? Manicures!"

Bel looked down at his black claw-like nails, then looked at Pippi in horror. No. Just...no.

He coughed. "Ready to go back?" he asked after paying for the clothes.

Oh, I think demons are the most interesting people! My stars, the places you must go and the things you must do. I was just saying to my friend Madge the other day, I said, "I think demons must be the most interesting people..."

Bel walked outside with Pippi, then shimmered them back to the island as soon as they were out of sight.
