Imperial Junkyard, Sunday afternoon
Walter picked his way through the junkyard to the area he'd been directed to the last time he'd gone there. There seemed to be an endless supply of things to cut apart, and he had plenty of thinking to do while he did it.

He walked over to where Walter was standing, looking at thwe assortment of refuse. "Are we looking for anything in particular?"

A flick of wire cut the end off one of the pipes sticking out, letting it fall to the dirt with an anticlimactic thud.

He gestured to a car door leaning against a stone.

He inclined his head slightly toward Walter's hand. "How long have you been working with those?"

He held out a hand to Tyler to show him the crisscrossing of fine scars that covered it. "I cut the hell out of myself for a while until I got good with them."

He put his hand in his pocket, not wanting Walter to notice the lip-print scar.

"I haven't done anything really impressive yet, though." Walter didn't ask himself why he cared about impressing Tyler. Some people were just charismatic that way.

"What would count as really impressive?," he asked, letting a hint of Walter's accent creep into his voice. "Taking down a building? There are easier ways to do that."

Now that you mention it... (http://pics.livejournal.com/walter_n_wires/pic/000ytr81)"What would you consider an easy way to take down a building?" Walter asked, cocking his head toward Tyler.

He ran a hand through his hair. "Either that, or the chemicals weren't as advanced then."

He asked the next obvious, to him, question, "What have you blown up? Other than yourself that one time?"

"Nothing big on the island," he said. "Some corporate art in Wilmington. And there was an explosion at my aunt's condo about a year ago. Everything we owned got destroyed." He smirked. "It was very upsetting, of course. Accident with the pilot light."

He shrugged and pulled out a cigarette. "It's not as though you have to decide now anyway. Most people don't know what they're doing after high school."

No, that really didn't gel.
"I'll go home, take care of Sir Hellsing, and hunt vampires." He smiled crookedly. "It's a living."

He rubbed his head and stood, looking for something else to test the wires on. "What could you do to that engine block?"

Hrm.... a leafblower, lawnmower engine, and a small rusted wheelbarrow caught his eye...
