The Arms Hotel Lobby Sunday Evening

Sue Ellen had needed to duck out for a bit, so Clark was working the front desk that evening.

for Nadia and Walter but hey, anyone wants to come say howdy or get a room, we're open.

Nadia led the way into the hotel lobby, her backpack slung onto her shoulder.

She was rather a bit bouncy, but trying not to show it. "Hi," she said to Clark. There should be a room under the name Nadia Santos?"

Walter followed her inside, looking around and trying not to remember the last time he'd been here. It seemed as though they'd fixed everything up from that visit, at least.

Remarkably, he wasn't wearing waistcoat or tie, although he did have both in his bag.

Nadia nodded, trying to appear as mature and in control as possible, as it suddenly occurred to her that, despite the fact that no one ever carded for alcohol in this town, two teenagers checking into a hotel might not be entirely kosher.

She might have leaned closer to Walter and very, very quietly and clandestinely whispered something along the lines of "follow my lead".

Walter looked away from the window he'd thrown Seras through and nodded slightly. Problems? He'd pay the bill for the damages from last time...

The wonderful thing about having been a street kid is that Nadia had actually had a fake ID for quite some time.

The wonderful thing about being from Argentina was that odds were good that despite the fact that it's a pretty crappy fake, it won't necessarily be spotted. "Yes, of course. Though my name is Elena. Nadia is my cousin, she goes to school here?"

Her fake ID didn't, of course, have her real name. She just hoped no one who would know them from school would be seeing this bit of deviousness.

Walter kept his mouth shut and went back to admiring the beautiful lobby decor. It would keep his accent from drawing attention, since it didn't match "Elena's."

"Yes. I'd been wanting to come for quite awhile, but we had to wait for my fiance to get some vacation time from work. It's a cute little island, isn't it?"

Fiance?

My what a lovely... he'd completely forgotten the word for it, but whatever it was, it was so lovely that he was staring at it and not hearing a thing Nadia, er... Elena said.

It was a good thing he'd given her the ID back, because she'd totally forgotten a lot of the information on it. She made short work of filling out the form and invented a signature for Elena Rodriguez on the spot. "Anything else you need? Only Mario and I are quite tired from the flight."

Exhausted.

Walter tried to look like a tired Mario without saying anything.

Nadia took the key cards with a smile. "Why thank you, Mr. . . ?"

[ooc: sounds good. sorry for delay in responding, I'm busy being a salesman in some other threads.]

Walter was an exhausted and silent Mario who came over to take one of the keycards from Elena and smile at the man behind the desk with the smile of someone who doesn't speak the language.

Or something like that.

"Thank you very much, Mr. Kent." Nadia smiled sweetly at him. "Adios!"
