Although Master Wayne might want it for... the Southeast corner.

On her way to the music festival Isabel stopped by to see if she could talk to the owner of Cafe Fina about possibly donating desserts for the Fourth of July party. Carrying her notebook, hedgehog basket over her arm, she entered the restaurant and looked around for someone in charge.

"May I help you and your... hedgehog?" Alfred said, appearing at Isabel's shoulder.

Isabel turned around and smiled. "I was looking for the owner if he's around."

"Well, today is your lucky day," Alfred said, smilling. "You've got him right here."

"Wonderful," she replied, holding out her hand. "I'm Isabel Evans, it's nice to meet you."

"I'm Alfred Pennyworth, owner of this establishement," Alfred responded, taking her hand. "A pleasure to meet you, Miss Evans."

Isabel shook his hand. "I was hoping to talk to you. I need your help. I'm organizing a beach party for both the students and the people in town for the Fourth of July," she explained. "I was wondering if Cafe Fina would interested in supply desserts. I have a small budget, I'd like to see what we can work out."

Alfred grinned. "Well, I'm not sure if I should be supporting the day the colonies kicked out my countrymen, but I suppose there's no such thing as bad publicity."

He produced a notepad from somewhere. "What did you have in mind?"

She laughed. "Don't think of it that way, think of it as more of a celebration of summer. I'll make sure there's plenty of signs pointing out that food came from here."

Isabel flipped open her notebook as well and turned to the page titled dessert. "Considering it the beach, probably nothing too fancy. Maybe pie, brownies, ice cream? Summer picnic food type stuff."

Alfred made a few notes. "Apple pie, of course. As is traditional. And cherry pie... lots of cherry pie... this will be for the town and the school, correct?"

"Yes, town and school," Isabel nodded. "It should be a great opportunity for everyone to have a good time together. If I can work the budget well enough, I'm hoping to end the evening with fireworks."

Alfred nodded and jotted down a few more notes. "That shouldn't be too hard, then." He flipped the notebook closed. "Well, Miss Evans, I will be happy to support our community and the school in its celebratory endavours."

"Thank you so much," Isabel said, flipping to her checklist and crossing off the line marked visit Cafe Fina. "Please let me know if you have questions. Once again it was a pleasure meeting you."

Alfred nodded. "Of course. Can I get you anything while you're here? Lunch, perhaps?"

"Actually a sandwich and some fruit to go wouldn't be bad." She held up the basket containing Greg. "We're heading over to the music festival."

"Ahh yes. I though I heard the melodious strains of rock 'n roll. Wait right here, I"ll be back in a tick."

He disappeared into the kitchen and returned with an egg salad sandwich in a to-go box, a small closed tub of tabasco on the side, as well as a few apples and oranges. "Will that do?"

"It should be a good afternoon. And that is perfect," Isabel smiled, impressed. "What do I owe you?"

Alfred responded with a ~~handwaveily~~ approriate amount. "Cash, check, or credit."

Isabel pulled the appropriate amount out of her purse and paid Alfred. "Thanks again," she said as she took the box and headed out the door.

Actually, it might be good for his own Southeast corner.

Actually, he does. It's a dark room in his apartment.
