Caritas - Sunday evening [Open]
GOB opened up Caritas to the sound of a bass solo. He hadn't been expecting that. The saxophone seemed to be on a stand at the back of the stage. It seemed like the zombie bass player had finally gotten the sax obsession out of his system. Good.
And with the lack of sax, there was a bearded man already sitting at the bar. "Can I help you?" GOB asked. "Wait, Tino? Is that you?"
Before Tino could say a word, GOB shook his head and said, "That stunt you pulled will cost you. Shave, take this siding down, color my cast black with a Sharpie, and maybe if you do all that I won't decide to knock down your pay for leaving like that. Get to it!"
Tino walked off to do just that. It didn't matter much to him. The saxophone wasn't being played anymore and he made a bundle from selling the siding salesman's briefcase on the mainland. And those siding samples got him more than he thought they would. It all worked out.
