Galactiga Pointe - Wednesday Evening
Pippi sat on a rock waiting for her friends with the crystal ball wrapped in it's dark silk cloth in her lap.
This was the same rock she sat on with Greg before he left and it put her in a very thoughtful mood.
This visit was certainly not a happy one either, but hopefully have happy results in the long term.
To cheer herself up as she waited, she sang.
Pastime with good company
I love and shall until I die.
Grudge who likes, but none deny,
So God be pleased, thus live will I.
For my pastance:
Hunt, sing, and dance.
My heart is set!
All goodly sport
For my comfort.
Who shall me let?
Youth must have some dalliance,
Of good or ill some pastance.
Company I think then best --
All thoughts and fantasies to digest.
For idleness
Is chief mistress
Of vices all.
Then who can say
But mirth and play
Is best of all?
Company with honesty
Is virtue -- vices to flee.
Company is good and ill,
But every man has his free will.
The best ensue.
The worst eschew.
My mind shall be.
Virtue to use.
Vice to refuse.
Thus shall I use me!
[[ooc: cut to them what know who they be.]]

She began singing different words that were normally sung to a totally different tune but still fit the tune she was singing perfectly.
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
a tale of a fateful trip.
That started from this tropic port,
aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was a mighty sailin' man,
the skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day,
for a three hour tour, a three hour tour………
The weather started getting rough,
the tiny ship was tossed.
If not for the courage of the fearless crew,
the Minnow would be lost; the Minnow would be lost.
The ship took ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle,
with...
"Hey Nadia." Pippi said.

How easy it would have been for her to end up a ghost to haunt somebody. . . .
"Any new information?"

"Hey guys."

In this time and in this place
I call on forces to protect this space
Guardians of sand and sea
Let none who cause harm enter here
As I will so let it be

As I will so let it be is a tough act to follow.

"Crystal ball I hold so dear,
Tell me what's the matter here.
Give me sight through time and space.
What torments the people of this place?"
Learning to speak formal Dragon wasn't just good for talking with Dragons it seems.

clearing in the woods. The clearing looks very familiar, but she can't
put your finger on exactly why.
*gentle breeze rustling through leaves*
A creature walks into the clearing.
*crunchy of walking on dirt and dry vegetation*
It's hard to make out, but it looks like it has more than two arms, maybe six or eight. It begins to burrow into the earth in the center of the clearing.
*Scratchy noises*

It never worked this fast before. Rhyming must have helped.
Shortly a group of people in dark cloaks ring the area where the creature has dug into.
*multiple footsteps, the occasional hushed whisper*
They appear to begin chanting something.
*Against (unintelligible) do we bind,
Our spirits (unintelligible).
(unintelligible) you will remain,
Nevermore to (unintelligible)
The ground shakes momentarily as if the creature is trying to come out, but then it stops and the earth is still.
*rumbling*
The people look happy but nervous and quickly disappear into the woods.

And then, there were words; he couldn't make them out very clearly, but there were definitely audible voices there.
Even after knowing this much, though, he was starting to become more confused. What did this have to do with ghosts?

Pippi shook her head and blinked.
"Okay, that was interesting."
