Wine, Wenches 'n Song [4-6pm]

"This be Barbossa, 'n ye be listenin' t' Wine, Wenches 'n Song jes' like ye did last week," the pirate began, spinning around in his chair. "Because I be certainly not gettin' drunk 'n forgettin' t' show up. That be irresponsible or somethin'."

He coughed. "Anyway. This be the show where ye can ask me fer advice about wenches or mateys or ask fer me t' play a request. Jes' nothin' from 98 Degrees, okay? Even a pirate can have standards."

He grinned. "But first, a song from the pirate: this one be goin' out t' Bucky Starbucks Gilmore-Danes--Lorelai 'n Luke's newest buccaneer."

Barbossa pressed a button on his console and The Beatles "Birthday Song" blared out.

"The lines be open," he concluded. "Bother me."

There's that Russian accented caller, again. "Hello, Pirate. I was wondering if you could tell me what you should do if a friend of yours wants to be . . . more than a friend? Or at least have a fling? But you're already attached."

"Well. Maybe a little bit tempted. But that's not fair to my boyfriend, especially since he's not around right now."

"Um, okay, that's good. But he's a she. So there's no 'family treasure' to kick her in."

There were sounds of distinctly disgruntled and woeful quacking.

Possibly the sounds of a spurned duck.

"Yes."

"Hello Barbossa! Mr. Blackadder wanted me to let you know that he thinks all girls should get a good education!"

Then there was slightly muffled giggling, and more with the insistant quacking.

The quacking might've sounded like "Callisto spurned my love," but that would be silly as ducks do not generally speak English.

"But what about my boyfriend?"

"Give me that!"

An annoyed male voice replaces Pippi's.

"That is most definitely not what I said."

"But you were thinking of educating them yourself!" River exclamied, having taken the phone from Edmund.

There was some affirmative quacking.
