Cafe Fina, Thursday

Alfred opened up Cafe Fina on Thursday, as he normally did, his mind a little troubled. Not with Walter, per se, but with his friends. And especially with Nadia.

He didn't like telling them lies. Well, technically he was always telling lies, considering. But that was one lie.

The lie he told Nadia was quite another.

Alfred never bought into the "omission of truth is not a lie" idea.

Clark's stomach hurt. Mostly stress he guessed. One more of his staff had left today. He really hoped his other prospect panned out or he'd be in some trouble.

Alfred appeared as if from nowhere. Probably just practicing for his class. "Good evening, Mr. Kent. Can I show you to a table?"

"Good evening Alfred." Clark managed a smile. "Yes thank you."

Alfred nodded and showed Clark to a table. "What can I get you tonight, sir?"

Alfred nodded. "May I suggest the salmon, sir? It's very good today. Fresh from Gotham."

"Yes that would be wonderfull thank you Alfred." He thought for a moment. "You ever get home much?"

"From time to time," Alfred responded. He nodded to a waiter to fetch the food. "Technically I work for the Wayne Family."

"The Wayne family?" Clark asked. "Do they own this restaurant?" He knew of the Waynes, any reporter worth his salt did. but will get no further into it probably since they never established any sort of rest of the dc universe continuity in the superman movies

Suprisingly, Wadsworth does not like lies. Well, not other people's lies, anyway.

He likes other people's truths. The ones they lie about.
